Asthesteeringwheelisturned,ensurethatthepressuregaugeis
notcontactedbyanymachineparts.
C.Monitorthepressuregaugecarefullywhenturningthesteeringwheelfor
arighthandturn(clockwise)andholding.
D.Thesystempressureshouldbeapproximately6,990to7,500kPa(1,015
to1,088psi)asthereliefvalvelifts.
E.ReturnthesteeringwheeltotheNEUTRALposition,shutofftheengine,
andrecordthetestresults.
6.Ifthespecicationisnotmet,repairorreplacethesteeringcontrolvalve;
refertoServicingtheSteeringControlValve(page6–225).
7.Afteryoucompletethetesting,shutofftheengine,andthenreleasehydraulic
systempressure;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulicSystem
(page6–8).Disconnectthepressuregauge,andconnectremovedhydraulic
hosetothesteeringcylinder.
8.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulic
uidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
