EngineElectronicControlUnit(ECU)
TheYanmarengineusedinReelmastermachinesusesanelectroniccontrol
unit(ECU)forenginemanagementandtocommunicatewiththemachineT oro
ElectronicController(TEC)andtheoperatorInfoCenteronthemachine.All
wireharnesselectricalconnectorsshouldbepluggedintotheECUbeforethe
machinekeyswitchisturnedfromtheOFFpositiontoeithertheONorSTART
position.TheengineECUislocatedattherightsideofthemachinenearthe
diesel-particulatelter(DPF).
IMPORTANT
DonotplugorunplugtheengineECUfor30secondsafterthe
machinekeyswitchisturnedoff.TheengineECUmayremain
energizedeventhoughthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.
IfyoumustdisconnecttheengineECUforanyreason,ensurethatthekeyswitch
isintheOFFpositionwiththekeyremovedbeforedisconnectingtheengineECU.
Also,topreventpossibleengineECUdamagewhenweldingonthemachine,
disconnectandremovetheengineECUfromthemachinebeforewelding.
Note:AgroundwireisusedtogroundtheECUtothemachineframe.The
groundwireisconnectedtotheECUwith1oftheECUmountingscrewsand
issecuredtotheframewithaange-headscrew.
