Situation:
Toro has created a tethered pin to hold the cutting unit to the lift arm. The tether will retain
either side of the pin in the event a pin breaks during operation which will keep the pin from
damaging the reel or bedknife.
Instructions:
Pin and Lanyard assembly is part # 136-8045 and can be installed on most Reelmaster
product to ensure pins are not lost and will not go through the reel if they break during
operation. See Figure 1 for part image. Note - The small metal bracket attaches under the
grease zerk on the lift arm.
