IMPORTANT
Topreventdamagetotheelectricalwireharness,numerouscable
tiesareusedtosecurethewireharnesstothemachinecomponents.
Recordthelocationofallcabletiesthatareremovedfromthe
machineduringtheengineremovalsothattheycanbeproperly
replacedduringtheengineinstallation.
9.Forassemblypurposes,notethelocationofthecabletiesusedtosecure
thewireharnesstothemachine.Disconnectthewiresand/orelectrical
connectionsfromthefollowingengineelectricalcomponents:
A.The2enginewireharnessconnectorsfromthemachinewireharness.
B.Thepositivebatterycablefromtheenginestartermotor.
C.Theenginewireharnesspowercablefromthebatteryclamp.Also,
removetheharnesspowercablefromthecordgripinframesothatthe
cablecanberemovedwiththeengine(Figure39).
D.Thenegativebatterycable,enginewireharnessgroundcableandframe
toenginegroundcableattheengineblock(Figure40).
E.Theenginewireharnessconnectorsfromthemainpower,glow,start,
andEGRrelays(Figure41).
F.Theenginewireharnessconnectorfromthefuelpump.
G.The2enginewireharnessconnectorsfromtheengineECU.
CAUTION
Theengineisveryheavy,andahoistnotratedfortheweightofthe
enginemayfail,causingpossibleinjuryanddamagetotheengine.
Usehoistequipmentratedtolifttheengine,whichisapproximately
200kg(441lb).
10.Attachasuitableliftorhoisttothelifttabsonthefrontandrearoftheengine
(Figure37).Supporttheenginewithliftorhoisttopreventtheenginefrom
shiftingormoving.
11.Removetheangenuts(item9inFigure37),snubbingwashers,spacers,
andboltsthatsecuretheenginemountbracketstotheenginemounts.
CAUTION
Use1persontooperatetheliftorhoistwhiletheotherperson
guidestheenginefromthemachine.
IMPORTANT
Whenremovingtheengineensurethatyoudonotdamagethe
engine,fuelhoses,hydrauliclines,electricalharnessorotherparts.
