cutting2fairways.Duringthisinitialuse,
anyburrswillberemovedfromthereeland
bedknifewhichcancreateimproperreelto
bedknifeclearanceandthusacceleratewear.
Thispracticeofcheckingthereeltobedknife
contactaftergrindingwillextendthelongevity
ofthesharpnessoftheedgeofthereeland
bedknife.
Areeland/orbedknifethathasroundedcutting
edgesorriing(groovedorwavyappearance)
cannotbecorrectedbytighteningthebedknife
toreelcontact.Grindthecuttingreeltoremove
taperand/orriing.Grindthebedknifeto
sharpenand/orremoveriing.
Themostcommoncauseofriingisbedknife
toreelcontactthatistootight.
Dullcuttingedgesshouldbecorrectedby
grindingthebedknifeandcuttingreel;referto
(page).
Anewbedknifeshouldbegroundat(within
0.05mm(0.002inch))afterinstallationto
thebedbar.Backlappingmayberequired
toproperlymatethereelandbedknifeafter
installationintothecuttingunit.

optionalbedknives,slightlydullcuttingedges
maybecorrectedbybacklapping;referto
