9.VerifythepumpowUnderLoadasfollows:
CAUTION
Donotclosethetestervalvefullywhenperformingthistest.Inthis
test,thehydraulictesterispositionedbeforethemanifoldrelief
valve.
Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowisfullyrestrictedbyfully
closingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
A.Monitorthetesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileyouslowlyclosethe
owcontrolvalveuntilyouget8,274kPa(1,200psi).
B.Recordthetesterpressureandowreadingsunderload.
10.Presstheenginespeedswitchtolowspeed(1,175to1,225rpm)position
andshutofftheengine.
11.Theunderloadtestowreading(step9B)shouldnotdropmorethan15%
whencomparedtothenoloadtestowreading(step8A).Adifferenceinow
ofmorethan15%,ortheinabilitytoachievespeciedpressuremayindicate:
A.Arestrictioninthepumpinletline.
B.Thegearpump(P4)iswornandshouldberepairedorreplaced;referto
ServicingtheGearPump(page6–169).
12.Afteryoucompletethetesting,shutofftheengine,andthenreleasepressure
fromthehydraulicsystem;refertoReleasingPressurefromtheHydraulic
System(page6–8).
13.Removethetester,andconnectthehydraulichosetothegearpump(P4)
outlet.
14.Starttheengine,checkforhydraulic-uidleaks,repairanyleaksas
necessary,andllthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulic
uidbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
15.Installtheoorplate,lowerandsecuretheoperatorseat.
