Procedure
Note:Themaximumrecommendedblade
penetrationdepthis6mm(1/4inch).
1.Placetheverticutterreelonalevelsurface.
2.Place2gaugebars,whichhavethedesired
depthofbladepenetrationbelowtheground,
underthefrontandrearrollersoftheverticutter
reel(oneachendofthereel)(Figure7).

3.Turntheadjustingboltoneachheight-of-cut
bracket(Figure7)sothatthereelbladescome
incontactwiththelevelsurfaceonbothends.
Note:Astheverticutterbladeswear,the
diameterofthereeldecreasesandthedepth
settingchanges.Checkthedepthsetting
periodicallytoensurethatthedesiredsettingis
achieved.

1.Loosentheboltsonthepivotofthegrassshield
(Figure8).
