02 STEP B E FO R E YO U B EG I N YO UR B U I L D Ensure your lumber is dry and straight. We recommend dry, straight cedar, but by design, our products allow you the freedom to choose your preferred wood for your build.
2.1 STEP BUILDING THE TOP Set up your 4 TRIO brackets 4 wood posts We recommend placing cardboard under your brackets to protect the bracket and surface.

2.2 STEP BUILDING THE TOP Insert lumber into brackets. Begin by creating a U Shape as outlined on the following page.

2.3 STEP BUILDING THE TOP Insert screws. • You only require 2 screws per each side of the bracket (eg. 12 per TRIO). • Insert screws in holes closest to the wood. • Hardware to secure to wood is included. • Additional screws are available for purchase.

3.1 STEP BUILDING THE TOP Attach all corner mounts.

3.2 STEP AT TAC H I N G T H E T O P S H A D E Attach buckles. With the buckles facing the sky, loop strap around corner mounts, and pull tight. Some leverage used by pulling the fabric at the same time as the strap allows for a tighter fit.

3.3 STEP AT TAC H I N G T H E T O P S H A D E Attaching the side mounts and shade. 1. Line up side mounts with buckles on shade. 2. Attach side mounts. 3. Loop buckles and pull tight. We recommend holding the fabric for extra resistance when pulling to tighten.

4.1 STEP BUILDING THE BASE Slide posts into the SOLO brackets, one at a time.
4.2 STEP BUILDING THE BASE Secure to wood posts. Remember 2 screws per side, closest to wood. That’s 4 screws for each wood post. Set aside, these will be used in Step 5.1 1 2 Closest to wood.
5.1 STEP LIFTING THE FIRST SIDE Lift the first side.
PLEASE NOTE: Lift with your knees. FOR A 4x4 BUILD We recommend a minimum of 4 people. (2 to lift and 2 to insert wood posts) FOR A 6x6 BUILD We recommend a minimum 6 people.

6.2 STEP BUILDING THE BASE Finishing 1. Align the posts. 2. Level all posts. 3. Anchor Please note: Anchoring screws and bolts are not included. They are not included because where the structure will be secured, is unknown. Please check with your local building codes to ensure you anchor correctly.
