5. For double ovens, you have to select the desired oven
cavity first. Touch to select the steam oven, touch
to select the conventional oven.
The oven cavity icons light up in different colors:
Color or cav-
ity icon
Meaning
Blue The oven cavity is selected, proceed
to make settings.
White The oven cavity is operating.
Gray The oven cavity is inactive.
7.4 Setting the heating mode and tempera-
ture
Requirement:For steam modes, place food into the oven
before starting the oven operation.
1. Turn the mode selection knob to the desired heating
mode.
2. Turn the temperature selection knob to the desired tem-
perature.
a The oven begins to preheat. The preheat bar begins to
fill in.
3. For steam modes you also have to set a duration:
‒ Touch the timer field .
‒ Swipe to set a duration.
4. Make settings for the seconds oven cavity in the same
way.
a The settings for both oven cavities are shown side by
side on the display. The steam oven settings are shown
in the left half, the conventional oven settings are shown
in the right half of the display.
5. To change the settings, turn the selection knob to the
desired position.
For settings that are made on the full-touch display, se-
lect the desired oven cavity first.
Note:Turn the mode selection knob to MORE MODES to
access additional heating modes. The settings for these
modes are made on the full-touch display.
7.5 Changing the heating mode or tempera-
ture
1. To change the heating mode or temperature, turn the
selection knob to the desired setting.
2. To change any other settings:
‒ For double ovens: Select the desired oven cavity.
‒ Touch the area of the setting you want to change.
‒ Swipe to change the setting.
a After a few seconds the appliance continues operation
with the changed settings.
7.6 Canceling a heating mode

Turn the mode and temperature selectors to OFF.
7.7 Heating time limitation
The maximum heating time is limited. If you forget to turn off the oven, it turns off automatically after a set period of time.
The maximum time for Sabbath mode is 74hours. For all other heating modes the maximum allowed time is 24hours.

7.8 Preheating
Depending on the heating mode, it is recommended to
place the food into the oven before or after preheating.
¡ For heating modes that use steam, place the food into
the oven cavity before preheating.
If you open the oven door during the preheat cycle the
steam will leave the oven cavity, lowering the tempera-
ture. The food will be undercooked.
¡ For all other modes place the food into the oven after
preheating is complete.
