Onceconnectionhasbeenestablished,rise-timeacceleratorcircuitsonallfourSDAandSCLpinsareactivated.
TheseallowtheusertochooseweakerDCpullupcurrentsonthebus,reducingpowerconsumptionwhilestill
meetingsystemrise-timerequirements.Duringpositivebustransitions,theTCA4311switchesin2mA(typical)
ofcurrenttoquicklyslewtheSDAandSCLlinesoncetheirDCvoltagesexceed0.6V.Usingageneralruleof
20pFofcapacitanceforeverydeviceonthebus(10pFforthedeviceand10pFforinterconnect),choosea
pullupcurrentsothatthebuswillriseonitsownatarateofatleast1.25V/µstoguaranteeactivationofthe
accelerators.
Forexample,assumeanSMBussystemwithV

ThispinprovidesadigitalflagwhichislowwheneitherENisloworthestart-upsequencedescribedearlierin
