Alpha 477
Ergonomics plus Flexibility
The Alpha 477 allows you to process a
wide variety of wire combinations into a
double crimp with up to three different
contacts and two different seals.
Controlled Processing
The two belt drives with AC servo axes
and integrated ACS (anti slip control sys-
tem) transport the wires into the process-
ing machine.
Highly dynamic servo technology is utili-
zed for stripping in the cutting head and
for positioning in the processing stations.
With this sophisticated handling techno-
logy, two wires can be processed in paral-
lel and their ends prepared in a controlled
production process.
Ergonomics
Thanks to a large swivel radius of 400 mm,
the stations are highly accessible to the
operator. The proven peripheral devices,
the MCI 711 and the MCI 761, can be
added to the Alpha 477 to achieve the
ultimate in system ergonomics. With the
quality monitoring units integrated right
into the system, optimum controlled pro-
duction is guaranteed.Functions like para-
meter compensation are readily available
thanks to the reliable MCI communication
with the peripheral devices.
Wire Deposit System
With the integrated head cutting feature,
the two wires can be separated on the side
with the double crimp. The small number
of active elements are integrated into the
machine in such a way as to ensure un-
restricted operation and accessibility. The
standard configuration includes such pro-
ven and reliable features as the automatic
post-production of defective wires and a
wire deposit system with batch size sort-
ing.
Comprehensive
Range of Possible Processes
The arrangement of six processing sta-
tions plus a double gripper unit make for
highly diverse processing possibilities. As
a result, the Alpha 477can grow and ex-
pand to meet your future needs. Individ-
ual wires with cross sections of 0.22 mm

to 4.0 mm

can be processed. The maxi-
mum total cross section of a double crimp
can be as large as 6 mm
2
.
Flexibility Throughout
The machine is operated withTopWin soft-
ware under Windows NT 4.0. Changing
different orders is extremely easy with
this graphic interface. In combination with
the wire deposit system, the operator can
change from double crimping to individ-
ual wire processing and back with a single
mouse click.

Ergonomie und Flexibilität
Mit der Alpha 477 ist das Verarbeiten von
verschiedensten Leitungskombinationen zu
einem Doppelcrimp mit bis zu drei ver-
schiedenen Kontakten und zwei verschie-
denen Tüllen möglich.
Prozeß-sichere Verarbeitung
Zwei Bandantriebe, mit AC-Servoachsen
und integriertem ACS (Anti Schlupf-Con-
trol-System), fördern die Leitungen in die
Verarbeitungsmaschine.
Hochdynamische Servotechnik ist für das
Abisolieren im Schneidkopf und das Posi-
tionieren in den Verarbeitungs-Stationen
zuständig. Raffinierte Handhabungs-Tech-
nik für das Verarbeiten von zwei parallelen
Leitungen ermöglichen das prozeß-sichere
Konfektionieren der Leitungsenden.
Ergonomie
Dank einem Schwenkradius von 400 mm
ist eine optimale Zugänglichkeit zu den
Stationen gewährleistet.Für das Optimum
an Ergonomie des Gesamtsystems können
die bewährten Peripheriegeräte MCI 711
und MCI 761 eingesetzt werden. Inte-
grierte Qualitätsüberwachungen garantie-
ren eine optimale Prozeß-Sicherheit.Dank
der bewährten MCI-Kommunikation zu den
Peripheriegeräten sind Funktionalitäten
wie Parameterabgleich einfach möglich.
Kabelablage
Die integrierte Kopftrennung ermöglicht
das Separieren beider Leiter auf der Seite
des Doppelcrimps. Die wenigen aktiven
Elemente sind so in die Maschine inte-
griert,daß sich für Bedienung und Zugäng-
lichkeit keine Einschränkungen ergeben.
Bestens bewährte und erprobte Elemente
wie die automatische Nachproduktion von
fehlerhaften Leitungen sowie eine Kabel-
ablage mit Losgrößensortierung gehören
zur Standardkonfiguration.
Vielfältige Verarbeitungsmöglichkeiten
Durch die Anordnung von sechs Verarbei-
tungsstationen sowie zusätzlich einer Dop-
pelgreifereinheit sind die Verarbeitungs-
möglichkeiten sehr vielfältig. Somit ist die
Alpha 477 auch zukünftigen Anforderungen
gewachsen. Einzelleiter mit Querschnitten
von 0,22 mm

schnitt eines Doppelcrimps kann 6 mm

Flexibilität konsequent umgesetzt
Die Maschine wird mit TopWin unter Win-
dows NT 4.0 bedient. Die einfache Hand-
habung für das Wechseln von verschie-
denen Aufträgen ist dank der grafischen
Oberfläche möglich. In Kombination mit
dem Kabelablagesystem kann per Maus-
klick zwischen Doppelcrimp- und Einzel-
leiterverarbeitung gewechselt werden.
