and Modular
The Pneumatic Crimping Tool 626 is suit-
able for series production of small to
medium volume as well as harness board
applications. As the crimping head can
be positioned at any angle terminations
can be carried out even in conditions with
severely restricted space.
The crimping force is provided by the
pneumatic basic tool which is hand-held
and initiated via a hand or foot switch.
Tool adapters with ratchet mechanism are
available to ensure a complete crimping
cycle. With hand or foot activation the
crimping jaws must reach their end po-
sition before they are released and the
finished product can be removed. This fea-
ture provides the same crimp cycle con-
trol as mechanical ratchets with manual
tools – with significantly reduced strain for
the user.
Interchangeable tool adapters and crimp-
ing heads are available for applying a
large number of products. Crimping heads
and dies from other AMP hand tools can
be utilized with the 626 pneumatic sys-
tem – for example dies from the PRO-
CRIMPER II hand tool.

Das pneumatische Werkzeug eignet sich
für Serien mit kleinen bis mittleren Stück-
zahlen sowie für Legebrettanwendungen.
Da sich der Crimpkopf in jeden beliebigen
Winkel drehen läßt, sind auch schwierige
Kontaktierungen unter beengten Platzver-
hältnissen möglich.
Eine pneumatische Basiszange, die in der
Hand gehalten und mittels Hand-oder Fuß-
schalter ausgelöst wird,liefert die Crimp-
kraft. Zur Gewährleistung eines komplet-
ten Crimpzyklus stehen Werkzeughalter
mit Ratschenmechanismus zurVerfügung.
Bei Hand- oder Fußauslösung müssen die
Crimpbacken ihre Endstellung erreichen,
bevor sie sich lösen lassen.Erst dann kann
die hergestellte Crimpverbindung entnom-
men werden. Diese Funktion bietet die
gleiche Crimpzykluskontrolle wie mecha-
nische Ratschen an manuellen Handwerk-
zeugen, jedoch mit deutlich geringerem
Kraftaufwand des Bedieners.
Für die Verarbeitung einer Vielzahl von
Produkten sind austauschbare Werkzeug-
halter und Crimpköpfe erhältlich. Crimp-
köpfe und Crimpmatrizen aus anderen
Crimpwerkzeugen lassen sich in das 626
Pneumatiksystem einsetzen, beispielswei-
se die Matrizen des Handwerkzeugs PRO
CRIMPER II.
