Getting to know VoiceLive 3
VoiceLive 3 – Reference manual (updated 2015-10-20) 72
USB Audio
USB Audio in VoiceLive 3 acts similarly to the
equivalent function in other TC-Helicon devices.
It utilizes the generic USB Audio drivers in Win-
dows and OS X to provide 2 Channel Stereo In-
put and Output.
Notes about USB Audio
USB Audio is always Stereo / 16 bit / 48 kHz in
both directions.
Audio sent to the device can be used in two
ways:
Using USB Audio as an Aux
To use USB audio as an Aux, simply connect
VoiceLive 3 to your computer using a USB ca-
ble and designate it as the audio output device
in your computer. With this setup, a stereo audio
signal will be streamed to VoiceLive 3 that you
can sing/play along with. This audio signal will
also guide NaturalPlay if no guitar or MIDI signal
is present.
Using USB Audio as Input(s)
to VoiceLive 3 effects
In this mode, the audio signal coming in over
USB will be sent down the vocal and guitar sig-
nal paths. The signal on the LEFT side of the
USB Audio stream is processed via the vocal
path. The signal on the RIGHT side of the USB
Audio stream is processed via the guitar path.
