Appliance Side without Quick Disconnect

1. Apply Teﬂ on Tape or pipe joint compound to male stub-out on appliance and thread

female/female elbow to male stub-out.

2. Thread male end of no.2 on no.5 or no.6 and attach to stub-out of appliance and

tighten.

Appliance Side with Quick Disconnect

1. Apply Teﬂ on Tape or pipe joint compound to male stub-out on appliance and thread

no.5 (male/female elbow) to male stub-out.

2. Separate no.9 coupling nipple (male) half from no.10 coupling (female) half. Apply

Teﬂ on Tape or pipe joint compound to male threads on no.5 (male/female elbow).

3. Thread no.9 of no.8 onto male elbow at appliance and tighten.

4. Reconnect no.8 coupling assembly to nipple.

Installation Comparison

Gas Supply Side

1. If pipe tee is already male, apply Teﬂ on Tape or pipe joint compound to pipe threads at

gas supply line. Thread no.7 valve onto male pipe nipple and tighten.

2. If pipe tee is female, ﬁ rst apply Teﬂ on Tape to threads of pipe (not supplied) and thread

pipe nipple into female pipe tee. Then thread no.7 valve onto pipe nipple and tighten.

3. Apply Teﬂ on Tape or pipe joint compound to thread of no.2 ﬁ tting. Place no.2 ﬁ tting

into no.7 valve and tighten.
