App To Device Communication ■■ In order to add a new device to the app, the mobile device that runs the app and the smart device must connect to your WLAN. ■■ Once a new device was added, you can control the smart device through the app via WLAN or mobile network.
App Installation Apps are available for Android and iOS mobile devices. Make sure your mobile device satisfies the minimum requirements as outlined on the app page before downloading. 1. Head to the respective app store and download the app named 'Sygonix Home' onto your mobile device. 2. Set up a user account as outlined under User Account.
User Account A 'Sygonix' account is required for you to operate the smart device. Your smart device cannot be linked to two accounts at the same time. Adding the smart device to a second account will remove it from the first account. Reset the smart device before linking to another account. Setting up a new account 1. Open the app. 2. Touch Sign Up. 3. Enter user name and password, then confirm with Sign Up. 4. A new account will be set up for you.
4. If you login successfully, the landing page with the device list will appear. -- If no smart devices have yet been set up, the device list is blank. Add New Device To App During set-up make sure to keep the mobile device running the app and the smart device within receiving distance of the wireless access point. 1. Connect your mobile device running the app to your WLAN network. 2. Open the app and navigate to the landing page. 3. Touch if it is not already selected. 4. Touch +. 5. Select the device you want to add. 6. Perform a Hard Reset on the device. Instructions on hard resetting either can be found in this manual or in the hardware manual. 7.
Scenes A scene is a collection of procedures to be executed when triggered. Open scenes as follows: 1. Go to the app landing page. 2. Touch . Default scenes Configurable Function Yes Execute all defined actions when you leave home. Yes Execute all defined actions when you return home. No Trigger the emergency siren. No Disable current alarm. You cannot delete default scenes. User-defined scenes 1. Touch +. 2. Under the Add New Scene panel, touch the scene and give the scene a name. 3.

Execute a scene In the Scenes panel, touch the scene you want to execute. Edit a scene 1. In the Scenes panel, hold down the scene you want to edit. 2. Select Edit from the pop-up menu. 3. Edit the scene. 4. Touch Save to save the edits. Delete a user-defined scene 1. In the Scenes panel, hold down the scene you want to delete. 2. Select Delete from the pop-up menu. 3.
Automation Automation executes a set of user-defined rules when certain events occur. Example: If motion is detected, the light is switched on. Automation only works/loads when the gateway and mobile device running the app are connected to the Sygonix Cloud. Add a new automation rule 1. Go to the app landing page. symbol to open the 2. Touch the automation page. 3. To add a new item tap on +. 4. Tap the + next to Trigger condition to open the trigger selection dialog.
8. Tap on OK to save your action settings. 9. Tap on next to Actions set to set a time delay before the action executes. 10. Tap on next to Effective time period to set active time period and weekday repeat pattern. 11. Tap on Save to save the settings. 12. Tap on Save to return to the automation page. 13. Smart Device Firmware Update The firmware of your smart device is updated via the app. Available firmware updates are indicated in the device settings. For all firmware updates the smart device and the mobile device that runs the app must be connected to the same WLAN network during the update. 1. Ensure the mobile device running the app and the smart device for which you want to upgrade the firmware are connected to the same WLAN. 2. Select the smart device from the device list on the landing page.
Device Reset Via App Attention! Resetting removes all configuration data in the device and any linked devices, if any. Not all devices allow for a software reset. Follow Option 1 or Option 2 to reset the software of your device. Option 1 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Select the device from the device list. Touch . Touch Reset To Factory Settings . Confirm the prompt to reset. The device is reset and removed from the device list. Option 2 1. Navigate to the landing page. 2.
Control Device Manually turning on and off the device always overwrites any set schedules and rules. There are two ways you can turn on and off the device: 1. From the app device list 2. From the Colour Temp. page Device list On/Off Colour Temp. page 1. Select the device from the device list. 2. Tap on Color Temp. to access the on/off button.
Adjust Colour 1. Select the device from the device list. 2. Tap on Color Temp. on the bottom navigation bar. 3. Set the colour. See below table. 4. Use the slider to adjust the brightness. Tap to set colour temperature. Tap to load an image from which to pick colours. After selecting a colour from the wheel, tap on + to add it to the library for reuse.
Set Light Effect 1. Select the device from the device list. 2. Tap on Effects on the bottom navigation bar. 3. Tab on a light effect to activate it. Tap again to deactivate (some effects are automatically deactivated after execution).
Timer 1. Select the device from the device list. 2. Tap on Timer on the bottom navigation bar.
Schedule How it works Schedule rules automatically control the behaviour of the device according to userdefined date and time settings. Example: If you want the light to turn on at 07:00 every day, set a schedule rule for this behaviour. Add a new schedule rule 1. Select the device from the device list. 2. Tap on Schedule on the bottom navigation bar.
3. Press + to start creating a new rule. 4. Decide if the new rule shall turn the device on or off. Select On or Off accordingly. 5. Set on which weekdays the rule is active. -- If you want the device to be controlled on a specific date, deselect all weekdays and set a fixed date instead. Rule turns smart device on or off Time Fixed date Bulb colour Weekdays 6. Set the time at which the rule takes effect. 7. Set the fading behaviour when turning on/ off the device.

Burglar deterrent How it works When burglar deterrent is activated, the device will randomly turn on and off within a userdefined time period. Set schedule 1. 2. 3. 4. Activate and deactivate Schedule settings are retained after deactivation of the burglar deterrent and available again as soon as you activate the deterrent again. ■■ Whenever you want to activate the burglar deterrent, slide the slider into its activated position. ■■ Deactivate it by sliding the slider into the deactivated position.
