Forged iron doors are designed for use in mild and/or moderate climates and the use of forged iron doors is not
recommended in cold climate applications
Door panels and frames are polyurethane foam filled to provide the best insulating properties available but are
not thermally broken which will allow for heat / cold transfer
As a result of this construction design, an increase in thermal transfer could occur, including temperature variation of the door in cold
weather climates (typically well below freezing for sustained periods of time), resulting in temporary periods of condensation and/or
frost on the outside and inside of the door unit with possibility of moisture on and around the bottom of the door. This possible

moisture build-
up does not negatively impact the door, nor is it a sign of product defect, but could negatively impact trim and
flooring if left unattended.
Steves & Sons offers no warranty or coverage of house interior damage as to the suitability of using this product
in a cold climate.
This U.S. map with "frost line" as defined by state. States in blue
typically have harsher winters and are therefor classified as cold
climate states.
