Additional calling functions
Tone signals
You can use telephone banking services or
control an answering machine by sending tone
signals (also known as DTMF tones or touch
tones) during a call.
To send the tones, press the number keys 0-9, and
.
To clear the display after the call is finished, press
CANCEL.
Notepad
If you want to make a note of a phone number during a
call, you can use your phone display as a notepad. Use the
number keys to enter the number. When you end the call,
the number remains in the display. You can call the
number by pressing
CALL.
To Turn Off Tones
If you use the phone display as a notepad, the person you
are talking to hears the tone signals when you press keys.
1. Press .
2. Press SELECT to choose Turn Off Tones.
Showing or hiding your number
If your subscription supports the Calling Line
Identification Restriction (CLIR), you can hide
your phone number when making a call.
To show or hide your phone number
1. Enter the phone number you want to call.

2. Scroll to Hide My Number or Show My Number.
3. Press
SELECT to choose the highlighted option.
