In the event of a transient voltage spike or surge, this Limited Warranty is valid only if all of the following conditions are met at the time of the occurrence:
Surge Protector is plugged directly into a properly grounded outlet.
All eligible connected equipment is plugged directly into the Surge Protector.
The connected equipment is damaged by a covered power surge or spike that passed through the Surge Protector.
The Surge Protector is damaged from power surge or spike in an intended appli
cation.
SW retains the option to repair or replace the damaged connected equipment with equipment having a fair market value equal to the fair market value of the damaged
equipment at the time of damage or the original purchase price, whichever is less, up to the maximum value shown on the package for this product, subject to the terms
and conditions set forth below.
Fair market value does not include shipping charges, taxes etc. and shall be determined by the lower of the following:
The average
price for the same or comparable equipment then being offered for sale on eBay
®
or Ubid
®
;
The price quoted in the most current Orion Blue Book; and,
The lowest price the same or similar equipment can be lawfully purchased in the United States or Canada.
This shall be Southwire Company, LLC.'s maximum and total liability.
This product, like all surge protectors, has a finite life. Even under normal circumstances and in the absence of defects, the product’s life will end w
hen the component
providing surge protection has depleted its capacity and ceases to provide protection from transient voltage surges and spikes.
SW's obligation shall be reduced by any amounts that the initial purchaser is entitled to recover from other sources regarding the connected equipment, including
insurance, other warranty or extended warranty coverage, service contracts, or compensation from the electrical power utility regardless of whether the initial purchaser
makes a c
laim hereunder or actually recovers compensation in any form from the sources referenced above.
The Surge Protectors are intended for household use with appliances and electronic equipment, as specified on the packaging. This Limited Warranty will not cover
claims for damages resulting from a lightning strike. To protect against telephone line, network (RJ-45) line, and/or coaxial line transient voltage spikes or surges, use
and connect equipment to a SW Surge Protector that offers
telephone, network, and/or coaxial line protection. If you are using an AC surge protector that does not have
telephone, network, or coaxial line protection, the Limited Warranty is null and void in the event that a transient voltage spike or surge damages any equipment
connected through the telephone, network, or coaxial lines.
The Limited Warranty is voided by the following:
"Daisy-chaining" of the Surge Protector with other surge protectors, extension cords, power strips, UPS devices, or
other connectors, in serial fashion;
Damages from sustained over-voltage as result of, but not solely limited to conditions such as harmful power-grid voltage fluctuations or faulty wiring;
War, theft, vandalism, or an act of God such as fire, floods, rain, wind, or earthquake;
Accident, misuse, abuse, and/or damages resulting while the Surge Protector was improperly connected;
Improper maintenance, installation and/or operation of the Surge Protector or connected equipment in other than
a normal operating condition or in such a way
as to otherwise fail to comply with the instructions or manuals thereof or otherwise constitute misuse;
Alteration, opening, tampering or modification of the Surge Protector and/or the connected equipment;
Damage to, deterioration, and/or wear and tear of the Surge Protector and/or the connected equipment;
Use with items not designed or intended for such use, such as refrigerators (excluding Appliance series surge protectors), AC mot
orized power tools, DC power
tool chargers, lawn mower/lawn care electric equipment battery chargers, heaters, sump pumps, motor vehicles, dehumidifiers, space heaters, air conditioner,
water-related devices (like aquariums), generators, devices for life support, medical or health care devices and the like;
Determination by SW that any claimed damage did not result from a specified occurrence or that none took place;
Preventing or refusing to allow SW to promptly inspect
the damaged or defective Surge Protector, the damaged connected equipment and/or the site where the
damage occurred at SW's request; and/or,
Refusal to allow damaged equipment to remain available for SW’s inspection until claim is finalized.
SW does not incur liability for any of the following in any event:
loss of, damage to, restoration of, and/or reinstallation of: data, records or software;
personal injury;

This Surge protector features an internal protection that will disconnect the surge protective component
at the end of its useful life. The device will continue to provide electricity to the connected equipment,
however, will no longer protect against transient voltage spikes or surges. If this situation is undesirable
for this application, the Surge protector should be replaced to ensure the connected equipment is
protected.

aquariums. Surge protectors are not lightning arrestors and will not protect connected equipment from
a lightning-strike induced current.
