Installation Instructions

Installation is to be done by qualified personnel who
have thoroughly read and understood this instruction
sheet.
Step 1.) We highly recommend uploading the panel
configuration to the FS-CT2 software before
removing the main board.
Step 2.) Disconnect BATTERY and AC prior to working on
equipment.
Step 3.) Mark or label all wiring that is connected to the main
board so that it can be reconnected after the board
has been replaced.
Step 4.) Remove wiring from existing main board.
Step 5.) Unplug transformers and bridge rectifier from
connectors on left-hand side of main board (J1-J4).
Step 6.) Disconnect the display board cable from the main
board (J11).
Step 7.) Remove any installed plug-in cards (FS-DACT or
FS-MT). On each corner of the plug-in card, use
long-nose pliers to press the locking key into the
standoff and lift that corner of the card so that it is no
longer secured by the standoff. Once all four corners
of the card are free, lift the card straight up to
disengage its header.
Step 8.) Remove the screws that secure the main board to
the enclosure and remove the board from the
enclosure. See the "Main Board Installation" section
of the FS-250 Installation, Operation and
Maintenance Manual, P/N 315-049353, for more
information.
Step 9.) Install the new main board into the enclosure as
described in the "Main Board Installation" section of
the FS-250 Installation, Operation and Maintenance
Manual, P/N 315-049353.
Step 10.) Plug transformers and bridge rectifier into
connectors on left-hand side of main board (J1-J4).
Refer to the FS-250 Installation, Operation and
Maintenance Manual, P/N 315-049353, for more
information.
Step 11.) Reconnect the display board cable to the main board
(J11).
Step 12.) Reconnect all other wiring to the main board. See
the "System Wiring" section of the FS-250
Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manual,
P/N 315-049353, for more information.
Step 13.) Install plug-in cards on the new main board. Be sure
to carefully align the connector on the card with the
header on the main board, then push the card
straight down over the header and standoffs until all
of the standoffs click. Once installed, the corners of
the card should not lift freely off of its standoff.
Step 14.) Set the Class A NAC jumpers on the new main
board to the same settings that were used on the old
main board. See Figure 1.
