1 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Definition The term electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) covers both the emission of interference into the environment by a product, and the immunity of that product to interference from the immediate environment. Information on electromagnetic compatibility is supplied under “Technical data” in the SBT product documentation. The data on interference immunity defines the operating environment in which the product can be used without impairment.
2 AC 230 V supply cables Sizing and fuse protection of the supply cables depends on the total load and on local regulations. The supply cables must be secured with cable restraints. 3 AC 24 V transformer sizing The DESIGO RXA controllers have an AC 230 V supply voltage. They generate the AC 24 V supply for the connected field devices. The power amplifiers for the UA1T thermic valve actuators have an AC 24 V supply and require a transformer.
5 Cables for AC 24 V triac outputs and AC 24 V supply The following applies to the cables of devices such as valves, damper actuators and contactors connected to the triac outputs of the room controller: – Use twisted, 2-core or multi-core round cable without a screen (standard installation cable) – Single conductors must not be used – The conductors may be routed together with mains cables (AC 230 V), but they MUST be insulated from the mains in accordance with regulations and in compliance with SELV req
6 Relay outputs The volt-free relay outputs are used for fan control. The following applies to the cables: Note the maximum rating of the relay contacts (refer to the data sheet of the room controller concerned) The sizing and routing of cables depends on the connected load and the local installation regulations. Fuse ratings depend on the room controller used. Please refer to the relevant controller data sheet. The cables must be secured with cable restraints. The RXA22.
