ELKIN RESET INSTRUCTIONS:

Kit Instructions

Drywall Sanding

You will find one hand sander (a.), one 6’ x 1-1/4” hose (b.), one 1-1/4” to 2-1/2” conversion unit (c.) and three

pieces of 1/3 sheet sandpaper* (

d.) Assemble as follows:

ATTACHING SANDPAPER

1. Remove retaining nut and washer from top of housing (Figure 1).

2. Separate housing from pad assembly (Figure 2)

3. Attach sandpaper to pad assembly by applying pressure to clamp to open (Figure 3). Slide sandpaper under

clamp until paper stops against rib (Figure 4). Repeat step for other side (Figure 4a)

4. Re-attach housing to pad assembly making sure pad assembly is in the center position (for standard

sanding). Secure with washer and retaining nut. Be sure small end of retaining nut is facing down (Figure 5)

NOTE: For best results, sanding material (sandpaper or sandscreen) must not exceed width of sanding pad.

*For your convenience, 1/3 sheet sandpaper is available at your local retailer.

NOTE: The pad assembly of the hand sander is designed with notches, allowing you to choose your method of

sanding. For standard sanding applications, the pad assembly will be in the center position (equal openings on

both sides of sanding pad). For edge sanding, the pad assembly can be moved to either side.

EDGE SANDING 1. 2. 3. 4. For edge sanding, loosen (but do not remove) retaining nut. Lift and slide pad assembly to desired side (Figure 1). Tighten retaining nut.
