Subnet m ask : Enter the subnet m ask, generally it is
255.255.255. 0
Gat e w ay: The ent ry I P address of t he next router.
NOTE:
1. The gateway m ust be at the sam e net segm ent w ith
the rout er’s LAN I P.
2. I f t he dest ination I P address is one host ’ address,
then t he subnet m ask m ust be 255.255.255.255.
3. I f t he destinat ion I P address is an I P segm ent , t hen it
m ust m atch with t he subnet m ask. For exam ple, if t he
dest inat ion I P is 10.0.0.0 then t he subnet m ask m ust be
255.0.0.0
