Using Key Operator Programs
Pause Time
This setting is used to change the duration of pauses inserted between digits of fax numbers. When
entering a fax number, a pause of the set duration is inserted each time the REDIAL/PAUSE key is
pressed. The initial setting is 2 seconds.

Follow steps 1 through 4 of the initial procedure. (See page 143)

Press the or key to select "INITIAL SETTING" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "PAUSE TIME" and then press the OK key.

Use the numeric keys to enter the pause time in seconds ("01" to "15")
and then press the OK key.
If you make a mistake, move the cursor to the incorrect digit with the keys (the
cursor should be over the digit), and then enter the correct digit.
Own Passcode Set
This setting is used to store the fax number and name of the user of the machine. The stored fax number
and name appear at the top of each fax page that is sent. Only one fax number and name can be stored.
You can check the stored number and name by printing the "PASSCODE LIST" (See page 126) or "KEY
OPE. LIST" (See page 144).
A maximum of 20 digits can be stored for the fax number.
A maximum of 36 characters can be stored for the name.

Press the or key to select "INITIAL SETTING" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "OWN PASSCODE SET" and then press the OK key.

Press the or key to select "STORE" and then press the OK key.

Enter your fax number with the numeric keys and then press the OK key.

Enter your name and then press the START key.
To enter characters, see "ENTERING CHARACTERS" on page 63.
Notes
If you make a mistake when entering the fax number in step 5, press the CLEAR key and re-
enter the number.
To clear the fax number and name, follow these steps:
(1) Select "DELETE" in step 4 and then press the OK key.
(2) Select "DELETE" and then press the OK key.
