Step 3 å å Turn eight BLACK 9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (32S) into the ENDS (A and B) until the shoulder of the SCREWS rest on the surface of the ENDS. Remember: Righty tighty. Lefty loosey. Slide the END MOLDINGS (Q) onto the ENDS (A and B). Line up the groove in the MOLDINGS over the head of the SCREWS in the ENDS. Step 4 å First, fill the holes in the LEGS (I and J) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). Then, insert the WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the holes. Wipe away the excess GLUE. å Now, fill the holes in the ENDS (A and B) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE. å Fasten the LEGS (I and J) to the ENDS (A and B). Tighten ten HIDDEN CAMS. å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the LEGS insert into the holes in the ENDS. Wipe away the excess GLUE. ! Caution Inspect the parts thoroughly before assembling.
Step 5 å First, fill the holes in the SIDE SKIRTS (O) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). Then, insert the WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the holes. Wipe away the excess GLUE. å å Now, fill the holes in the LEGS (I and J) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE. å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the SIDE SKIRTS insert into the holes in the LEGS. Wipe away the excess GLUE. ! Caution Inspect the parts thoroughly before assembling. Disassembly of glued parts is extremely difficult.
Step 6 å First, fill the holes in the LEGS (K and L) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). å Fasten the LEGS (K and L) to the ENDS (A and B) and SIDE SKIRTS (O). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS and use ten BLACK 2-3/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (100S). å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the SIDE SKIRTS insert into the holes in the LEGS. Wipe away the excess GLUE. ! Caution Inspect the parts thoroughly before assembling. Disassembly of glued parts is extremely difficult. Fill the holes 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE.
Step 7 å å Fasten the BRACES (T) to the BOTTOM (E2). Use four BROWN 1-1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (14S). Fasten the BOTTOM (E2) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten two TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. 14S BROWN 1-1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREW (4 used in this step) How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER T 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part.
Step 8 å Fasten the UPRIGHT (C) to the BOTTOM (E2). Use two BLACK 1-15/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (113S). Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day. Step 9 å å å Fasten two METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the BACK SKIRT (N). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Now, fill the hole in the LEFT REAR LEG (L) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE. Then, insert the WOOD DOWEL in the BACK SKIRT into this hole. Wipe away the excess GLUE. å NOTE: Be sure the CAM SCREWS in the LEG insert into the holes in the BACK SKIRT. You will not tighten these HIDDEN CAMS at this time. å Fasten the BACK SKIRT (N) to the BOTTOM (E2).
Step 10 å Fasten two METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the BOTTOM MOLDING (P). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten the BOTTOM MOLDING (P) to the LEFT FRONT LEG (J) on the LEFT END (B). Tighten a HIDDEN CAM. å Fasten the BOTTOM MOLDING (P) to the BOTTOM (E2). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S) through the METAL BRACKETS on the BOTTOM MOLDING and into the BOTTOM.
Step 11 å First, fill the holes in the FRONT SKIRT (M) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE (54M). Then, insert the WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the holes. Wipe away the excess GLUE. å å å å å å NOTE: Be sure to use the exact holes shown. å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the SKIRTS and BOTTOM MOLDING insert into the holes in the LEGS. You will not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS on the BACK SKIRT (N) at this time. Now, fill the hole in the LEFT FRONT LEG (J) 1/4 to 1/2 full with GLUE.
Step 12 å å å Fasten two METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the TOP MOLDING (S). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). Surface with HIDDEN CAMS NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the edge of the TOP MOLDING. 4G Fasten the TOP MOLDING (S) to the LEGS (I and J) on the ENDS (A and B). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. Step 13 å Fasten the TOP (D) to the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHT (C). Tighten six TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (S) to the TOP (D). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S) through the METAL BRACKETS on the MOLDING and into the TOP. Hey! Step 14 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Unfold the BACK (F) and lay it over your unit. å Tighten the four HIDDEN CAMS in the BACK SKIRT (N) at this time. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (F). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the BACK (F) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). å NOTE: Perforations have been provided for access through the BACK. Carefully cut out the holes needed.
Step 15 å Fasten the DOOR MOLDINGS (R) to the DOORS (G). Use eight BROWN 1" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (12S). å Fasten three HINGES (14H) to each DOOR. Step 16 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Fasten the DOOR (G) to the RIGHT END (A) as shown in the lower diagram. Use the screws in the HINGES. You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. å å Fasten a KNOB (95K) to the DOOR (G). Use a GRAY 1-3/8" MACHINE SCREW (39S). å å Repeat this step for the other DOOR (G). Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram.
Step 17 å å å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Tighten the screws after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS in or out (depth), loosen the mounting screw one turn and move the DOORS in or out, as needed. Tighten the mounting screw after making adjustments. The DOORS may need some adjustments.
Step 18 å å IMPORTANT: This unit must be placed against a wall. å We recommend using the SAFETY BRACKET (1G) for added stability. Use a BLACK 9/16” LARGE HEAD SCREW (1S) into the top of the unit and a BLACK 2-3/4" FLAT HEAD SCREW (100S) into a stud in your wall. å Apply the WARNING LABEL (5L) to the left DOOR (G). You should be able to read the label when the DOOR is open. When the DOOR is closed, it will hide the label. Peel off the backing and apply the label as shown in the diagram.
