INSTALLING THE REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER Allow an adequate space and install the refrigerator/freezer on a firm, level floor. • If the appliance is not level, there may be unusual noises and poor cooling. • Wait for at least one hour before plugging the appliance in. Plug the refrigerator/freezer into a wall socket used exclusively by this appliance. • This appliance must be properly grounded. Clean the refrigerator/freezer.
PREPARING THE REFRIGERATOR /FREEZER To prepare your appliance for use and check that it is running correctly, take the following steps. Install all shelves and compartments removed during transport and place them in the correct position. You are advised to clean the appliance and accessories before switching the appliance on for the first time to remove any dust that accumulated during packing and shipping.
USING THE CONTROL FEATURES REFRIGERATOR TEMPERATURE BUTTON Sets the refrigerator temperature. Press the button repeatedly to change the temperature in sequence between 34°F and 46°F FREEZER TEMPERATURE BUTTON Sets the freezer temperature. Press the button repeatedly to change the temperature in sequence between -14°F and 8°F. POWER FREEZE BUTTON Speeds up the freezing process in the freezer. POWER COOL BUTTON • Speeds up the cooling process in the refrigerator.

STORING FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER When storing food in the appliance, follow the recommendations below. • Allow warm food and beverages to cool down before storing them in the appliance. • Ensure that food is well-wrapped or covered before it is stored. This will prevent food from dehydrating, deteriorating in color or losing flavor and will help maintain freshness. Fruits and vegetables need not be wrapped, provided that they are stored in the refrigerator vegetable drawers.
STORING FOOD IN THE REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER Upper freezer drawer • Store packed frozen foods, like ice cream and bacon. B. REMOVING AND CLEANING ACCESSORIES Before cleaning the appliance, you must always switch it off and unplug it from the wall socket. Do not use a steam cleaner. Hot steam could damage the surface of the appliance or the electrical components, with a risk of electric shock. Ice cube tray • Place a hand in the lower groove, then pull the ice cube maker forward. • Remove the ice cube trays and rinse them in water and dry completely.
REPLACING INTERIOR LIGHTS REFRIGERATOR LIGHT BULB Always unplug the appliance when replacing the refrigerator light. Otherwise, there is the danger of electric shock. Unscrew the cover with a philips-head screwdriver. - Incandescent light • Turn the interior light to pull it out and replace it with a new one. • 30 watt light bulb with 14 base socket (samsung part number:4713-001145) Screw the cover back with a philips-head screwdriver.
