Status Bar
The Status Bar displays icons to show network status, battery
power, and other details, including these common icons.
3G Coverage
: 3G system is available.
3G Connection Active
: Device is active on a 3G system.
Signal Strength
: Current signal strength. The greater
the number of bars, the stronger the signal.
Roaming
: Your device is outside the home coverage
area, and roaming mode is active.
Airplane Mode Active
: All wireless communications
are disabled. See “Airplane mode” on page 98.
Battery Level
: Shown fully charged.
Charging Indicator
: Battery is charging.
Device Power Critical
: Battery has only three percent
power remaining. Charge immediately.
USB Connected
: Device is connected to a computer
using a USB cable.
New Text Message
: You have new message(s).
New Email Message
: You have new email.
Alarm Set
: An alarm is active. For more information,
refer to “Alarm Clock” on page 83.
Silent mode
: All sounds except media and alarms are
silenced. See “Silent mode” on page 104.
Vibrate mode
: Silent Mode and Vibrate Mode are
active. See “Vibrate” on page 104.
Preparing SD Card
: A memory card is installed.
SD Card Removed
: Memory card was uninstalled.
Bluetooth Active
: Bluetooth is turned on.
Wi-Fi Active
: Wi-Fi is connected, active, and
communicating with a Wireless Access Point (WAP).
Wi-Fi Action Needed
: Action needed to connect to
Wireless Access Point (WAP).
Emergency Location Only
: Displays to show that
emergency location services are available (cannot be
configured).
Location On
: Displays when Location service(s) are
active.
