.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Rust-Oleum
®
Clear Acrylic Roof Sealant is a multi-purpose
acrylic sealant designed for sealing roofs, walls, trim,
doors and windows. It is ideal for residential and
commercial sealant applications. This water-based,
environmentally friendly formula has little odor and is easy
to tool. It is non-yellowing and creates a clear seal that
remains flexible and can be painted.

PRODUCT APPLICATION .
SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, sound and free from dirt,
grease, oil, mold, algae, loose granules, loose gravel,
loose paint, rust, excess chalk and other foreign matter
which could prevent proper adhesion. Rusted metal
should be cleaned with a wire brush and primed with a
suitable primer before applying this product.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you
may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO
LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS
BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN YOUNG CHILDREN.
PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID
EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to
control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA
vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to
protect yourself and your family by contacting the National
Lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to
www.epa.gov/lead.
APPLICATION
Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures
are between 40-100ºF (4-38ºC) and the relative humidity
is below 85%.
PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
Place cartridge in a cradle type caulking gun. Cut tip and
puncture seal in spout. Squeeze trigger slowly. Apply ¼-
½” bead of sealant to areas that are to be sealed.
COVERAGE
Will cover approximately 25 linear feet. Actual coverage
will vary depending upon application method.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF and 50% relative
humidity. Allow to dry at least 4-8 hours for thorough dry.
Product will reach full cure in 24 hours. Environmental or
site specific conditions may lead to a variation in dry time.
CLEAN-UP
Clean up wet product with water. Wash tools and
equipment with soap and water. Properly dispose of all
soiled rags and containers.
LIMITATIONS
Do not store above 90ºF (32ºC). DO NOT apply if rain is
expected within 48 hours of application.
