.DESCRIPTION AND USES .
Polyurethane Sprays seals and protects interior wood
surfaces while providing a beautiful and durable finish. Its
smooth appearance will allow natural wood grain to show
through. It protects against scuff marks, abrasion, chipping,
water, alcohol, and chemicals. Polyurethane sprays are
ideal for use on furniture, cabinets, doors, moldings,
shutters, tabletops, banisters, and wicker. These sprays
can also be used on metals such as doorknobs, hinges,
and handles. Not recommended for linoleum, vinyl, or
glazed tile. It may have an ambering effect on light colored
surfaces.

. PAINTING CONDITIONS .
Use outdoors or in a well ventilated area. Use when
temperature is between 50-90°F (10-32°C) and humidity is
below 85% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to
surfaces, when heated, exceed 200°F (93°C). Do not
apply to galvanized steel. Avoid spraying in very windy
and dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect
from spray mist.
. PRODUCT APPLICATION .
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical
contaminants by washing the surface with a commercial
detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with
fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. Previously coated
surfaces must be sound and in good condition. Smooth,
hard, or glossy finishes should be sanded with #220 grit
sandpaper to create a surface profile. Remove all sanding
dust with a vacuum or dampened lint-free cloth. Surfaces
must be completely dry before painting. .
Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means
may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. LEAD IS
TOXIC. Contact the U.S.EPA/Lead Information Hotline at
1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
.PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
APPLICATION
Shake can vigorously for one minute after the mixing ball
begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle DO NOT
STRIKE CAN. Contact Rust-Oleum. Hold can upright 10-
16” from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth
motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep the can in
motion while spraying. Keep the can the same distance
from the surface. Apply two or more light coats a few
minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. Metallic sprays are
not recommended for outdoor use. Do not use near open
flame.
DRY & RECOAT
Dry and recoat times are based on 70ºF (21°C) and 50%
relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures.
Dries to the touch in 2 hours and is fully dry in 4 hours.
Recoat within 1 hour or after 24 hours.
CLEAN-UP
Clean valve immediately after use by turning can upside
down and depressing the spray button for 3-5 seconds
(some paint will be sprayed out, so be careful to not
inadvertently spray yourself or other objects). Clean up
wet paint with xylene or mineral spirits. Properly discard
empty container. Do not burn or place in home trash
compactor.
CLOGGING
If the valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse in a
solvent such as mineral spirits. Do not insert any object
into can valve opening.
