ROLL SPECIFICATIONS:
• Roll: 36” x 67’
• 2 Square roll with 1.8 Square yield
• Self adhered SBS “Peel and Stick” non-slip polyester underlayment
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
• Peel and Stick MT-HT is an SBS modified self-adhering membrane reinforced
with white non-woven fiberglass mat for extra strength and durability.
• For best adhesion, lightly prime wood and masonry substrates.
• Primer must be fully cured prior to membrane application.
• Deck may not have voids or areas that are unsupported.
• Deck must be clean and dry or loss of adhesion may occur.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
• Always start installation from the lowest part of the roof deck.
• Has been approved by Polyfoam & Dow Chemical when fastening Roof Tiles
with their chemical foam adhesive
• Align the membrane on the lower edge of roof.
• Pull back the split release film to either side of the membrane.
• For improved adhesion, roll over edges and seems with a hand roller.
Use a flat broom, or squeegee to help lay flat and adhere the field of the
underlayment.
• Valley and Ridge applications: Center the sheet over valley, or ridge, peel
back the split release film and press firmly into place. Always start from the
lowest point on the valley applications.
• Where nailing is needed for steep slope applications, backnail and cover
nails by overlapping with the next sheet.
• End laps must be at least 6 inches and side laps must be at least 3 inches.
• For best adhesion, apply in minimum 45˚F or higher. Can be installed in
cool temperatures down to +45° F and can withstand temperatures of up
to 250° F.
• Can be left uncovred and exposed to the elements for up to 90 days prior to
application of finished roof.
• Store rolls at temperatures between 55° F and 95° F.
Refer to peel and stick high temperature manufacturer’s installation
instructions. All Material must be installed in compliance with applicable
codes and ordinances. Approvals: Meets ASTM D1970.
PRECAUTIONS and LIMITATIONS:
• Always wear fall protection when working on a roof deck.
• All underlayments can be slippery when wet, or covered by frost.
• Remove release liners soonest possible from work area, as they
can be slippery.

This Peel and Stick product is specifically designed to cater for the growing Metal and
Tile markets.
Use under Metal or Tile
• Follow maximum recommended exposure guidelines when
exposing underlayments to sunlight.
• Do not fold underlayments over the reoof edge unless it is
protected by flashing material.
All material must be installed in
compliance with applicable codes
and ordinances
• Do not install underlayments directly on old roof covering.
• Check with the Manufacturer of Metal Roofing for any special
requirements when underlayment is installed under metal
roofing which do not have proper ventilation.
• Underlayments are air and vapor barriers, therefore always
provide proper roof insulation and ventilation.
• Repair holes, tears, and damage to membrane with a round
patch of membrane extending 6 inches past the damaged area.
SAFETY, STORAGE and HANDLING
• Read all product labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
for proper handling and disposal.
• Deliver all materials in manufacturer’s unopened packages.
• Palletized material should only be stacked two high.
• Store all materials under cover.
• Avoid prolonged storage above 90˚F.
