IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
* These instructions are provided for your safety. It is very important that they are read completely before beginning the
installation of your xture.
* If any special control devices are used with this xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.
requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualied electrical contractor.
* WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSTALLATION BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/ CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from carton and discard packing materials.
3. Remove cross bar (B) from hang straight (E) by unthreading tube (D) from hang straight (E). Afx cros bar (B), including
threaded tube (D), to ceiling outlet box using cross bar screws (C) provided.
4. Measure desired drop for xture to hang and add/remove extension tubes (H) as needed. Guide wiring through extension tubes
before threading tubes together.
**TO ADD/REMOVE EXTENSIONS: (Un)Thread the threaded nipple of one extension into/out of the threaded opening of the
next extension. Make sure electrical cord is pulled tight when threading extensions together to prevent damge to the wiring.**
5. Thread bottom extension (H) on housing (I).
6. Guide wiring from top extension (H) through the center hole in canopy (F).
7. Unthread collar (G) from housing (E). Slide collar (G) and canopy (F) down extensions (H) until they rest on housing (I).
8. Lift xture to ceiling outlet box. Guide wiring through threaded tube (D). Thread hang straight (E) onto threaded tube (D).
9. Pull wiring from ceiling outlet box and make electrical connecions described in steps 10-12.
A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
10. Attach ground wire from xture (green or copper in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with
wire nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
11. Attach hot wire from xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with
wire nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
12. Attach neutral wire from xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together
with wire nut (A) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
13. Carefully push wire connections back into celing outlet box. Slide canopy (F) up extensions (H) and rmly hold against ceiling.
Slide collar (G) up extensions (H) and thread it onto hang straight (E) to secure canopy (F) against the ceiling.
14. To install bulbs (see Figure 1), unthread collar (J) from threads (L). Slide collar along xture arm away from
metal shade cover (K). NOTE: To avoid damge to the nish, be careful when sliding parts over the xture arms.
15. Slide metal shade cover (K) along xture arm towards collar (J), revealing socket cup (N).
16. Insert one 40W Max., Type B, medium base bulb into socket.
17. Insert glass shade (O) into socket cup (N). Thread set screws (M) through holes in socket cup (N). Hand tighten set screws (M)
until the shade is secure. NOTE: Do not over tighten screws (M) as doing so could break the glass shade (O).
18. Slide metal shade cover (K) back over socket cup (N). Slide collar (J) back to threads (L) and tighten threads to secure
metal shade cover (K).
19. Repeat steps 14-18 for remaining 7 shades.
20. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/ circuit breaker and test the xture.
