GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.  Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.  When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another.

OPERATION INSTALLING/REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK  Install the sanding belt. Make sure the arrow inside the belt is pointing in the direction of rotation, which is clockwise when looking into the open side of the sander. See Figure 2, page 10. NOTE: Match the arrow on the sanding belt to that of the housing. WARNING: Before installing the battery pack, always make sure the switch trigger is not in the locked-on position.

OPERATION ADJUSTING THE FRONT HANDLE WARNING: See Figure 9, page 11. Keep hands and fingers away from a moving sanding belt. Any part of the body coming in contact with a moving sanding belt could result in serious injury. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry when operating the sander. They could get caught in moving parts and foreign objects could get thrown away from the sander causing injury. The front handle can be adjusted to one of three positions, depending on operator preference.

UTILISATION INSTALLATION/RETRAIT DU BLOC-PILES Voir la figure 2, page 10. NOTE: Faire correspondre la flèche de la courroie abrasive à celle du logement. AVERTISSEMENT : ATTENTION : Avant d’installer la bloc-pile, toujours vérifier que la gâchette n’est pas verrouillée. Ne pas prendre cette précaution peut causer un démarrage accidentel, entraînant des blessures graves.

UTILISATION  Démarrer la ponceuse et faire un réglage fin du bouton d’alignement jusqu’à ce que la courroie se stabilise. AJUSTEMENT DE LA POIGNÉE AVANT See Figure 9, page 11. La poignée avant s’ajuste sur trois positions, selon la préférence de l’opérateur. AVERTISSEMENT : Garder les mains et les doigts à l’écart de la bande abrasive en déplacement. Toute partie du corps qui vient en contact avec une bande abrasive en mouvement peut subir des blessures graves.

FUNCIONAMIENTO INSTALACIÓN/DESMONTAR DEL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS Vea la figura 2, página 10. ADVERTENCIA: Antes de instalar el paquete de baterías, asegúrese de que no esté puesto el seguro de encendido. La inobservancia de esta advertencia puede causar un arranque accidental de la herramienta, y por consecuencia posibles lesiones serias. Para la instalación:  Asegúrese de que el interruptor no esté en la posición de bloqueo.  Retire el paquete de baterías.

FUNCIONAMIENTO AVISO: Si se gasta excesivamente el borde interior de la banda de lija, probablemente ésta quedó ajustada demasiado hacia adentro y está rozando las partes internas de la unidad. Si tal es el caso, reajuste la banda con la perilla de alineación.  Encienda la lijadora y efectúe ajustes finos con la perilla de alineación hasta estabilizar la banda. ADVERTENCIA: Mantenga las manos y los dedos lejos de la banda de lija cuando esté en movimiento.

Evite el empleo de solventes al limpiar piezas de plástico. La mayoría de los plásticos son susceptibles a diferentes tipos de solventes comerciales y pueden resultar dañados.
