PREPARATION PRÉPARATION This manual covers the installation and maintenance of your new bathtub. Read it through before proceeding to the installation. Carefully inspect unit upon arrival. Any damage or missing parts should be noted on the bill of landing and the distributor notified. It is recommended to keep the unit in its cardboard box until installation. To store it in a secure place and avoid exposing it to excessive temperature variation.
INSTALLATION INSTALLATION ❶ Determine the location of the bathtub, taking the position for the faucets, drain and other components into accounts. Déterminer l’emplacement de la baignoire, en tenant compte de l’emplacement de la robinetterie et des différents composants. ❷ Remove the bathtub from the package. Always make sure to put the tub on a carpet or a piece of cardboard, to prevent damaging the surface of the bathtub.
INSTALLATION INSTALLATION 5mm (1/4") ❸ Place the bathtub in its position and proceed with the levelling of the tub. Make sure there is a gap of at least 3mm (1/8") between the skirt and the floor. The skirt shloud not rest on the floor in any case. Next, trace the outline of the skirt on the floor and the position of the drain. In order to help yourself, the strainer can be remove temporarly at this step. 5mm (1/4") Placer la baignoire dans son emplacement et procéder à la mise-à-niveau.
INSTALLATION INSTALLATION ❹ In order to immobilize the bathtub it is recommended to place wood blocks against the skirt's inside hem. Measure the width of the hem at the bottom of the skirt. Afterwards, trace the skirt inside hem according to the measurment onto the previous outline. Afin de bien immobiliser la baignoire, il est recommander de placer des blocs de bois s'adossant au pourtour intérieur de la jupe.
INSTALLATION INSTALLATION 5mm (1/4") ❺ Make sure the strainer and waste pipe are properly attached to the bathtub. Slowly drop the bathtub in place. Once the bathtub in place verify that the levelling is correct. Next, do a drainage test to ensure the bathtub drains properly, if not, adjust the levelling pads. Once the levelling and drainage is correct, secure the lock nuts on the levelling pads. S'assurer que la crépine et le tuyau d'évacuation sont bien fixer sur la baignoire.
INSTALLATION INSTALLATION ❻ When the installation is completed, verify if there is a plastic film on the bathtub, if so remove it. Afterwards apply a continous bead of silicone at the junction of the bathtub skirt and the floor. Let the silicone cure for 24h before using your bathtub. Une fois l’installation terminée, vérifier si la baignoire est recouverte d'une pellicule de plastique, si c'est le cas, la retirer. Par la suite, appliquer un filet de silicone à la jonction de la jupe et du plancher.
