GETTING STARTED

TEK 2.0 SETUP WIZARD:
The first time you turn on your TEK 2.0 Handheld, the Setup Wizard will run to walk you through setting up
your device.
The Setup Wizard is broken into four sections:
• Initial Device Settings
• Adding Dogs
• Adding Collars
• Final Device Settings
LANGUAGE
First, the Setup Wizard will ask you to select the language for your SportDOG Brand® TEK 2.0.
The default selection is English, and there are 10 additional languages available. Use the up/down arrow keys
to highlight your choice, then press select Next.

Next, the Wizard will ask: “Would you like to follow the Guided Setup or use the
Default Settings?”
You will have the option of selecting: Guided Setup, Default Settings, or a Do Not
Show This Again checkbox. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your choice,
then press Enter or the right arrow key.
• Select Guided Setup to go to the next page in the wizard.
• Selecting Default Settings to go directly to the Home screen.
• Select the Do Not Show This Again checkbox to prevent the Setup Wizard from
running each time the Handheld is turned on.
NOTE: If you choose to skip the Guided Setup, your Handheld will have one dog
named “Dog 1” and one collar, both paired so that the hunter can go directly to
the field. You can adjust this setting later through the Settings menu. You will
need to calibrate your compass, see page 18.
DISTANCE AND SPEED
Next, the Wizard will ask you to select your measuring units for:
• Distance – Miles/Yard or Kilometers/Meter
• Speed – MPH or KM/H
Select your choices for each field, then select Next to move to the Next screen.
