FastSet™ Stucco Patch is manufactured as a complete product
requiring only the addition of water.

YIELD
• Each 20 lb (9 kg) pail of QUIKRETE

FastSet™ Stucco Patch will yield
approximately 0.2 cu ft (5.6 L) of patching plaster. Each 20 lb (9 kg) pail will
repair approximately 10 square feet (0.93 m
2
) at a ¼ in (6.3 mm) thickness.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
QUIKRETE

FastSet™ Stucco Patch achieves final set in 45-90 minutes
after mixing, and can be painted 90 minutes after with a water-based latex
paint. Only water based coatings are recommended. Elastomeric coatings
are preferred.
INSTALLATION
SURFACE PREPARATION
• Proper surface preparation is essential to the successful application of
QUIKRETE

FastSet
TM
Stucco Patch. All surfaces must be clean,
structurally sound, and free of any loose or foreign materials. Hairline cracks
should be widened with a chisel prior to application. Avoid V-shaped cracks.
Dampen the surface thoroughly prior to application.
MIXING
• QUIKRETE

FastSet
TM
Stucco Patch can be hand or machine-mixed in a
paddle-type mortar mixer.
• WEAR IMPERVIOUS GLOVES, such as nitrile when handling product.
• Mix only as much QUIKRETE

FastSet™ Stucco Patch as can be applied
in 10-15 minutes.
• Use approximately 3.5 pints (1.7 L) of water per 20 lb (9 kg) pail.
• Place the water in the mixer, then slowly add the QUIKRETE

FastSet™
Stucco Patch.
• Mix for 2-3 minutes, or until a trowelable consistency is achieved.
• Excessive addition of water will delay setting, reduce strength, and delay the
ability to paint.
• Add additional amounts of water if necessary.
• Do not add Portland cement, lime, sand, or admixture(s).
APPLICATION
• WEAR IMPERVIOUS GLOVES, such as nitrile when handling product.
• Variation in water addition will affect color uniformity.
• Do not add additional water during application.

Stucco Patch should be trowel applied to the damp
surface.
• Apply a thin layer with heavy trowel pressure, and then go back and build up
to the desired thickness.

Stucco Patch obtains high bond strength without
the use of bonding adhesives or acrylic additives.
MOIST CURING
Keep moist to minimize cracking. Typical moist curing requires a fine mist of
water three hours after application and a secondary misting after three
additional hours. Mist applications should be increased for hot, dry, sunny or
windy conditions. Care must be exercised to avoid erosion damage to plaster
surfaces when misting.
PRECAUTIONS
• Do not apply when temperatures are expected to fall below 40
o
F (4
o
C)
within a 24 hour period. Do not apply when temperatures exceed 100
o
F
(38
o
C)
• Do not apply when rain is expected within 2 hours after application.
• Mix only as much material as can be applied in 10-15 minutes.
• Do not exceed a maximum of 8 square feet (0.74 m
2
) in a single patch.

Stucco Patch, like other
cementitious materials, may vary due to water addition, application
techniques, and environmental conditions.
• Stucco should not be dampened before painting. Paint only using a water-
based latex paint, or coat with a water-based coating (Elastomeric coating
preferred).
