Basic Keypad Operations
j EZ-Check™ Switch
SOURCE mode : S lid e th e switch to select from three use r-stored
value s f or th e d e sire d calibration po ints. The user can se le ct HI, DIA L
and LO positions. The se va lu e s ca n e a sil y be ch a nged t o su it th e
calibration requirements.
READ mode : Slide the switch to recall minimum and maximum
reading s. Pr e ss th e EZ-Dial™ Knob to clear the store d v a lue s.

Slid e the SOURCE/OFF/READ Switch to SOURCE
to output a voltage corresp ond in g to the
temperature on the display for the selected
thermoc ouple type. Use the READ position to
directly con v e rt th e rmocouple input to temp e ra ture .
l EZ-Dial™ Kn o b
Turn the knob to change temperature in 0.1º
increments. Push and turn for faster dialing. Push
without turning to store new EZ-Ch ec k™ HI/LO
points in S IM ULATE mod e , or to cle ar E Z -Check™
HI/LO points in READ mode.

Inst ructions for Enabling and Disabling the Config uration Options
1. Turn the Model 522 on with the SOURCE/OFF/READ Switch.
2. Press the EZ-Dialä Knob while the “PRESS EZ-D IAL KNOB FOR CONF IGURAT ION ”
message is displ ayed .
3. Select options by turning the EZ-Dialä Knob u ntil th e arrow p oint s to the d e sire d
option.
4. The option can be enabled or disabled by tapping the EZ-Dialä Knob.

to normal operation with the options selected. These options are saved even when the unit is
turned off.
