EN 60204-1/VDE 0113-1 "Electrical
Equipment of Industrial Machines", Section
9.4.3.1 states:
"Ground faults in a control circuit may
not lead to an unintentional start-up, to
potentially dangerous movements or
prevent the stopping of a machine."
– The ground disconnect terminal block
GTF76 conveniently solves this problem
– When the disconnect slide is closed,
switch position "on", the yellow light
signals grounded normal operation
– Once the disconnect slide has been
opened to the "off" position, the red light
indicates whether there is a ground fault
in the control circuit
Note:
– Asymmetries in the cable isolation mean
that the red display may easily light up
even when there is no ground fault if the
disconnect slide is open. This has no
impact on functionality and does not
affect the protective measure demanded
in the VDE requirements
Attention!
– During isolation testing according to
EN60204–1/VDE0113–1, the GTF76
should be disconnected or bridged as
otherwise the LED display will be
destroyed or a short circuit will occur
