Switchable terminal blocks in a wide range
of designs for power generation and
distribution have been part of the terminal
block product range for decades. These
terminal blocks are specifically tailored to
the test circuits in current transformer and
voltage transducer secondary circuits.

measurements being taken.
The FAME plug-in test system represents
the further development of these
switchable terminal blocks. The system
consists of a test block built into the control
cabinet panel and the associated operating
and test plugs.
It is characterized by:
– Modular design
– Easy panel mounting
– Automatic transformer short circuit
Thanks to its modular, configurable
design, FAME is a flexible system which can
be used to implement any conceivable
number of positions. This means that the
right solution is available for every circuit
diagram.
The FAME plug-in test system is designed
for IP20protection. Wall mounting enables
installation in the control cabinet door. This
allows tests to be carried out without
having to access the inside of the control
cabinet (wiring level), which eliminates the
possibility of modifications or manipulation.
The transformer short circuit is at the heart
of the system and when the short-circuit
jumper is inserted it is implemented
automatically when the operating or test
plug is removed. This increases the level of
safety considerably during current
transformer and protective device testing.
The system is configured for current
transformer and voltage transducer
applications using accessories from the
CLIPLINE complete system.

