5 Connect your home
theater
This section helps you connect your home theater
to a TV and other devices.
For information about the basic connections of
your home theater and accessories, see the quick
start guide. For a comprehensive interactive guide,
see www.connectivityguide.philips.com.
Note
For identication and supply ratings, refer to the
type plate at the back or bottom of the product.
Before you make or change any connections,
make sure that all devices are disconnected from
the power outlet.
Subwoofer
Follow the steps below to position, connect, and
set up your subwoofer.
Position
Place the subwoofer at least one meter (three feet)
away from either to the left or right of your home
theater, and ten centimeter away from the wall.
For best results, place your subwoofer as shown
below.
Connect
Connect your subwoofer to your home theater as
described in the Quick start guide.
Setup
Set up your subwoofer through the audio menu.
1 Press (Home) on your home theater
remote control, and select [Setup] > [Audio]
> [Subwoofer volume].
2 Change the volume.
Connectors
Connect other devices to your home theater.
Side left
a (USB)
Audio, video or picture input from a USB
storage device.
b MUSIC iLINK
Audio input from an MP3 player.
Rear left
a ANTENNA FM 75
Signal input from an antenna, cable or satellite.
b AUDIO IN-AUX
Connect to an analog audio output on the TV
or an analog device.
