1 Safety Read and understand all instructions before you use the device. If damage is caused by failure to follow instructions, the warranty does not apply. • The device is designed for negative ground (earth) 12 V DC operation only. • Risk of car accidents! Never watch video or operate this system while driving. • To ensure safe driving, adjust the volume to a safe and comfortable level. • Improper fuses can cause damage or fire. When you need to change the fuse, consult a professional.

3 Setup Always follow the instructions in this chapter in sequence. These instructions are for a typical installation. However, if your car has different requirements, make the adjustment accordingly. If you have any question regarding installation kits, consult your local retailer. Connect wires Note •• Make sure that all loose leads are insulated with electrical tape. •• Consult a professional to connect wires as instructed below. •• Before connection, check the car's wiring carefully.

Mount into the dashboard m 5m Note •• The package does not include trim plate and mounting parts such as *radio mounting brackets for the reason that they are specific to car type. Before installation, consult the dealer or professional installer for the right mounting kit. •• The installation should always be done by an experienced technician. Check with your dealer to obtain proper installation service. •• Make sure that wires are correctly connected before you mount the main unit into a car.
1 4 Basics Switch on or off 1 2 2 Press to switch on. • For the first-time use, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the setup. To switch off, press and hold until the screen dims. 5 Radio Press . to enter the Home screen. Tap 1 2 • • Auto tune The first time you tune in to the radio, start Auto tune to search for stations. 2 Tap FM or AM to select a band. FM bands: FM1, FM2, FM3 AM band: AM1, AM2 Tap > . »» For each band, up to 6 stations are stored as presets. »» The preset stations are listed at the bottom of the screen. 3 or . Tap > to select the region that matches your location.
• Program type, such as news, sports, and pop music; • Frequency; • Scrolling text (RDS text), if available. The RDS (Radio Data System) function operates only in areas with FM stations broadcasting RDS signals. Search by program type 1 2 Check that the RDS function is enabled. • Tap > RDS to select . Tip •• When a traffic announcement cuts in, you can press to switch the system to the previous mode. 6 USB On the unit, you can play the media files that you have stored on a USB storage device. Synchronize the clock You can synchronize the clock with an RDS station that transmits time signals. • Tap > to select or . • : Enable automatic clock synchronization. • : Disable automatic clock synchronization. Tip •• The accuracy of time depends on the RDS station that transmits time signals.
Play music Play videos »» On the play screen, you can see the file information and play status. Select play options • / : Tap to start, pause, or resume play. • / / : Tap to select a repeat mode: • : Repeats all songs. • : Repeats current song. • : Repeats all songs in current folder. • : Tap to play all songs in random order ( highlighted) or in sequence ( in gray). Search for files • / : • Tap to skip to the next/previous file. • Tap and hold to fast forward or rewind within current file.
7 Bluetooth On the unit, you can enjoy music play that stream from a connected Bluetooth device. Connect your Bluetooth device 1 2 3 Select settings 1 2 3 Tap to access the options list: (Brightness), (Contrast), (Color). Tap the icon to hide or show the adjustment bar. Tap +/ - to make adjustment. • Tap to discard the adjustment. On your unit, press to enter the Home screen. Tap > to switch on Bluetooth. On your Bluetooth device, search for and select Philips CE600BT.
Enjoy music from your Bluetooth device Select sound settings • : Tap to select sound settings. Tip •• To browse the song/ folder list or select the repeat/ random play mode, check that - your Bluetooth device supports Bluetooth AVRCP 1.5, for example, iPhone 6 or later; - you play music from a supported app, for example, Apple Music. 1 2 3 On your unit, press to enter the Home screen. Tap . Check that your Bluetooth device supports the Bluetooth profile A2DP and AVRCP.
8 Phone calls To make and receive phone calls on your unit, make sure that you have connected the unit with your mobile phone through Bluetooth (See “Connect your Bluetooth device” on page 14) To dial the last called numer • Tap . Answer phone calls The incoming call can get through automatically when it is received on the connected mobile phone. Make phone calls 1 Press to enter the Home screen. Tap . • • Tap to answer the call. To reject or end the call, tap .
9 AV-IN On the unit, you can enjoy music/ video that plays on an external media player that is connected through AV cables. 1 2 3 Check that you have properly connected your media player with the unit through AVcables (see “Connect wires” on page 4), • one end to , , on the unit • the other end to the audio/video output on your media player. On your unit, press Home screen. Tap to enter the . On your media player, start music/ video play.
11 Sound On the Home screen or functional menu, tap to select your sound settings. 2 Tap the numbers to increase or decrease the value. • Alternately, drag the slider to increase or decrease. Preset stations are lost. •• Battery cable is not correctly connected. Connect the battery cable to the terminal that is always live. The fuse is broken. •• The fuse type is incorrect. Replace it with a 15 A fuse. •• Speaker wire or power wire is grounded. Check the connections. Bluetooth Music playback is unavailable on the system even after successful Bluetooth connection. •• The device cannot be used with the system to play music. The paired mobile phone connects and disconnects constantly.
