TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
®
PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO is a high pressure decorative laminate coating
with 0.031'' (0.8mm) attached to a foam layer in the thickness of 0.039'’
(1.0mm).This product is made in sheets of 48"x96" (1.25x3.08) and 48"x120"
(1.25x2.51) which allows to cover large areas with few expansion joints.
The high pressure decorative laminate consists of a set of kraft and decorative
papers, impregnated respectively with phenolic and melamine resins, pressed
under high pressure and high temperature.The result is a completely
homogeneous product characterized by high resistance and decorative
surface in the desired color or design.
BASES INDICATED FOR THE APPLICATION
Masonry, drywall, cement, painted walls and wood (MDF or plywood).
BASES NOT INDICATED FOR APPLICATION
Tile, wallpaper and vinyl.
Important note: We do not recommend placing this product in places with
a high humidity index, such as bathrooms, laundries, saunas or similar
(see warranty).
MASONRY
For application on masonry wall, it is recommended to smooth the surface with
mortar of cement and sand in proportion of 1:3
It is important not to use lime in the mixture.
Drying time varies from 20 to 30 days, depending on the climatic conditions
and characteristics of the environment where it was applied.

In order to avoid PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO installation problems, please
follow the above mentioned instructions.
After drying, the walls should be sanded to remove the imperfections of
the mortar and cleaned with brushes to remove the dust that can prevent

a good adhesion when PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO is applied
New walls often leave residues on the surface as well as they have high
absorption, which can hamper the correct installation of PERPLAC
®
AUTOADESIVO . For this reason it is necessary that before the application
®
of the panels of PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO , a "burning" is performed on
the walls where the product will be apllied. For this process you must apply
two coats of sealer (synthetic resin) with foam roller and wait for the
complete drying of the process.
This sealer increases the impermeability, provides excellent adhesion
resulting from the sanding of the base, prevents retraction and reduces the
absorption of the wall leaving it in a better condition to receive the product.

Never apply PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO on damp or infiltrated walls.
Any imperfections must be addressed. Apply PERPLAC
preferably on flat surface. The special foam will cover imperfection till
0.039'' (1.0mm)

AUTOADESIVO
PAINTED WALL
See if the wall is free of dirt. Make sure there is no paint peeling. We
recommend to sand the wall and scrape with a scraper.
WOOD WALL
First check whether the plywood boards are firmly attached to the wall, if
not, secure them using screws.
Do not forget: the surface must be sanded and clean, completely free of
dirt and dust.
PERPLAC
The surface where the will be applied must be
clean, dry and free of oils or other contaminants.
Remove the protective coat and start with one of the outer edges.
Press it firmly on the wall and be sure the position is aligned.
This pressure is important in order to eliminate the possibility of air bubbles

Caution: be precise when applying the PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO . The
adhesive has fast and strong adhesion.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS
For the execution of a perfect job and safety of those who install it we advise
the use of suitable tools.Use simple carpentery tools:
Carpenter's Pencil - for marking
Aluminum Ruler - cutting aid
Hammer
Titanium Coated Knife - for cuts and cutouts of sheets
Utility Knife - for foam layer.
Tape Measure - for cut measurements
Sheep wool roll - to apply the sealer
Straight Edge - for work at right angles.
Sandpaper - for finishing cuts of laminates and surfaces.
Drilling Machine and steel drill - for cuts preparation
Hole saw - for round cuts.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The daily maintenance is made with damp cloth with water and neutral
detergent and finally a clean and soft microfiber cleaning cloth.
Important: Never use abrasive products.
WARRANTY
ENVIRONMENTAL TEMPERATURE
The ambient temperature must be controlled. The ideal is to work between
68ºF and 86ºF. The performance of the adhesive can be changed in an
environment with high temperature.
AIR HUMIDITY / MOISTURE
Air humidity should be controlled for the same reasons described in the
previous item.
Avoid storing the laminates sheets standing up because the edges can be
contaminated and also absorb moisture.
Always leave them in the horizontal position, supported by a firm and stable
surface (table or shelf). In case of cut sheets, store them without removing
their respective protective plastic films, this will avoid any contamination.
Finally, it is important to highlight the importance of the useful life of the
materials. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and observe the
expiration dates. Otherwise, you may experience low adhesion problems of

PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO to the surface.

PEEL’N STICK
PERPLAC has a five (5) year warranty against wear of the
laminated surface under normal conditions of use. Warranty valid only if the
product is installed correctly in accordance of the recommendations in the
installation manual.

AUTOADESIVO
STORAGE
®
PERPLAC AUTOADESIVO must be protected from moistures and should
not be stored in contact with the floor, external wall or any other moist surface.
When stored in accordance with Pertech’s recommendations, PERPLAC
®
AUTOADESIVO has a validity of 1 year from the date of manufacture.
