Defrosting the appliance Freezer Defrost the freezer when an approximately 3-5 milimeter layer of frost or ice has built up. After turning off the switch of the appliance, remove the food from the freezer and protect it from defrosting. • Do not use any defrosting sprays as they may melt the plastic parts or harm your health. • Do not use a knife or any other sharp object to remove the frost, because you may damage a pipe of the cooling system.
