Note, when the battery charge is very low, the battery capacity indicator

will decrease to 1 Bar on the LCD and may flicker. Please recharge

immediately. It is recommended that the electric wine opener is always

returned to the charging stand when not in use.

NOTE 2: The electric wine opener may experience problems with a

small percentage of plastic/synthetic and undersized corks. If this is the

case, the cork should be removed manually.

For the most accurate measurement, please make sure the outside

surface of the wine bottle is completely free from dust and dry. The same

applies to the lens of the infrared sensor on the electric wine opener.

• Aim the lens of the infrared sensor at the center of

the wine bottle or glass, and place the wine

bottle as close to the lens as possible, but

without making contact. Wait for 2 to 3 seconds

and the temperature will be displayed on the

LCD for about ten seconds. For maximum

accuracy, repeat this process 3 or 4 times and

calculate the average. Note, when taking the

temperature of a wine bottle while the electric

wine opener is removed from the charging base,

you may have to gently press the extract or release button to refresh

the LCD. This will force the LCD to display the updated temperature.

• When the lens of the infrared sensor is not in close proximity to an

object, the electric wine opener will display the room temperature.

• The infrared sensor does NOT measure body temperature and does

not substitute for a medical thermometer.

• A temperature reading of “-EE” indicates the temperature of the object

is lower than the available range.

• A temperature reading of “EEE” means the temperature of the object

is higher than the available range.

• To avoid damage to the sensor, do not expose the lens to extreme

temperatures.

Thank you for purchasing an Ozeri Maestro Electric Wine

Opener. Before you use this product for the first time,

please take a few moments to read these instructions and

keep it for future reference. Pay particular attention to the

Safety Instructions provided. Please review the product

service and warranty statements.

BEFORE USING YOUR ELECTRIC

WINE OPENER

For your convenience, record the model number and the date you

purchased the product. Keep your purchase receipt together with

the warranty information in the event that warranty service is

required. Retain this manual for future reference.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

CONNECTION AND USE

We recommend that you charge your electric wine opener for at

least 8 hours before using it for the first time. Please follow

instructions for recharging below:

RECHARGING YOUR ELECTRIC WINE OPENER

Connect the “Jack” of the adapter to

the charging stand (Fig. 1), then plug

the adaptor into a compatible

electrical outlet. Place the electric

wine opener onto the charging stand.

Ensure that it is firmly in position and

that it is fully engaged with the

recharging connection on the

charging stand.

The LED charging light indicator and room temperature lights will

appear on the built-in LCD. The LED charging indicator will flash

from 1 Bar to 4 Bars when charging. (Fig. 2)

When the flashing stops and all 4 Bars remain on the LCD, the

electric wine opener is fully charged. The maximum charging time

is 12 hours. When removed from the charging stand, the electric

wine opener will automatically turn off the LCD after approximately

20 seconds to conserve battery life. To activate the LCD to view

the battery status and/or the temperature reading, gently press

either the extract or release button. Please note that when

removed from the charging stand, the 4th Bar of the battery

capacity indicator will blink when the battery requires charging.

OPERATING YOUR ELECTRIC WINE OPENER

1) First remove the foil cutter from the charging stand

and place it on top of a wine bottle. Then press

inward on the foil cutter and twist to cut

and remove seal from the wine bottle.

2) Place the electric wine opener on top of

the wine bottle making sure that it

remains as upright as possible at all

times. If you hold the electric wine

opener at an angle to the bottle, it will not remove

the cork properly.

Hold the electric wine opener firmly and press the

lower part of the button. The corkscrew spiral will

turn in a clockwise direction and e

nter the cork,

then gradually remove it from the bottle. When the

electric wine opener’s motor has stopped, the

cork has been fully removed from the bottle.

3) Lift the electric wine opener away from the bottle.

To remove the cork, simply depress the upper part

of the button. The spiral will turn in a

counterclockwise direction and release the cork.

4) Return the electric wine opener to the recharging

unit when not in use. The recharging unit will help

prevent the wine opener from acciden

tally tipping

over. While the electric wine opener can be

partially recharged after each use, periodically

discharging the battery by using the wine opener

until the motor slows down will maximize battery performance.

NOTE 1: When removed from the charging station, the electric wine

opener will automatically turn off the LCD after approximately 20

seconds to conserve battery life. To activate the LCD to view the battery

status and/or the temperature reading, gently press either the extract or

release bu

tton, or reattach the electric wine opener to the charging base.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should

always be followed including the following:

• This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not operate electric wine opener with a damaged cord or plug, after

the appliance malfunctions or if it is dropped or damaged in any

manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service center for

examination and repair.

• To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the electric wine

opener in water or any other liquid. This may cause personal injury

and/or flammable fumes.

• To protect against fire, do not operate the unit in the presence of

hazardous materials and/or extreme temperatures.

• This product is intended for normal domestic household use only. Do

not use the electric wine opener for other than its intended use.

• When using or recharging the electric wine opener keep your

workspace clean and free from potential hazards.

• For indoor use only. Do not expose the electric wine opener or charging

unit to rain or other extreme conditions.

• Never force the electric wine opener onto a bottle or attempt to speed

up the motor. The electric wine opener will work best when it is

operated at its intended speed.

• Do not touch or adjust the electric wine opener’s motor or the corkscrew

spiral. Only hold the electric wine opener by its outer housing and its

indicated grip.

• Do not attempt to open bottles if the up/ down button is not working.

• Do not attempt to disassemble the electric wine opener or the

recharging unit. It has no serviceable parts. Your electric

wine opener

is guaranteed for one year. In the event of the malfunction during your

warranty period, please contact our customer service department.

• Only recharge the electric wine opener using the recharging unit

supplied.

• Always unplug the charger if you do not intend to use your corkscrew

for a long period. To disconnect from the power supply, grip the

transformer and pull from the power socket.

• Never remove the plug from socket by pulling the power cord.

Your “Ozeri Electric Wine Opener” is warranted to the original

owner for 1 year from the date of purchase against defects in

material and workmanship under normal use and service. Should

your Electric Wine Opener prove defective within 1 year from the

date of purchase, return the defective part or unit, freight prepaid

along with an explanation of the claim to “Ozeri Electric Wine

Open

er.” Please pack your Electric Wine Opener carefully to avoid

damage in transit. Under the warranty, Ozeri will repair or replace

any parts found to be defective due to manufacturer’s defect. This

warranty extends only to personal use and does not extend to any

product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use

which is not intended. There are no warranties other than that

expressly set forth herein. This warranty is not transferable. Ozeri

is not responsible in any way for damages, losses or

inconveniences caused by equipment failure o

r by user

negligence, abuse, or use not in accordance with the “User Guide”

or any additional safety, use, or warnings included in the product

materials. Further, Ozeri is not liable for incidental or consequential

damages of any nature resulting from the use of this product and

any liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.

FOLLOWING:

- Damage due to accident, misuse, abuse, alterations

or vandalism.

- Improper or inadequate maintenance.

- Unauthorized modification or commercial use.

- Damage in return transit

The electric wine opener is operated by a single

up/down button. The button has two functions. With

the Ozeri Electric Wine Opener securely placed on

top of an unopened wine bottle, press the lower part

of the button (down button) to remove the cork from

the bottle. Pressing the upper part of the button will

release the cork from the Ozeri Electric Wine Opener

after you have removed it from the bottle.
