The system view appears.
Step 2 Run:
interface atm interface-number
The ATM interface view appears.
Step 3 Run:
Scramble
The command enables the scrambling.
By default, the scrambling is enabled. It is valid only for payloads and does not influence the
cell header.
The scrambling can effectively avoid continuous "0"s or "1"s.

10.2.3 Configuring the parameters of the ATM E3 interface
Configuring the clock mode
Do as follows on the routers:
Step 1 Run:
system-view
The system view appears.
Step 2 Run:
interface atm interface-number
The ATM interface view appears.
Step 3 Run:
clock { master | slave }
Clock mode is configured.

Master clock mode: indicates that the interface uses internal clock signals.
z
Slave clock mode: indicates that the interface uses line clock signals.
The clock mode of the interface is decided by the position of the router in the network.
z
When the router is connected with a transmission device, its ATM E3 interface uses the
slave clock mode.
z
When two routers are directly connected, one port should be configured to use the master
clock mode, the other port to use the slave clock mode.
By default, ATM E3 interface uses the slave clock mode.
