7.6 Configuring XOT
7.6.1 Establishing the configuration task
Applicable Environment
Configure the XOT route to forward X.25 packets through the IP network.
Preconfiguration tasks
Before configuring XOT, complete the following task:

Powering on the router and start the router normally
z
Connecting the interface and configuring the physical parameters of the interface
z
Configuring the X.25 protocol on the interface and the X.25 parameters.
Data preparation
To configure XOT, you need the following data.

1 Data needed for local switching: SVC local interface, destination X.121 address,
destination address and source address
2 Data needed to realize XOT routing through SVC: all the data necessary for local
switch and the destination IP address
3 Data needed to realize XOT routing through PVC: local PVC number, XOT local
interface, peer VC number and IP address of the XOT interface
4 Data needed to configure Keepalive and XOT-source attribute: create XOT local
interface, the timer value, and max retry times
