Table 3-36: Setting Cable Loss Values
Step Action
1 Click on the Util menu.
2 Select Edit >Cable Loss > TX or RX. A data entry pop-up window will appear.
3 Click on the Add Row button to add a new channel number. Then click in the Channel # and Loss
(dBm) columns and enter the desired values.
4 To edit existing values click in the data box to be changed and change the value.
5 To delete a row, click on the row and then click on the Delete Row button.
6 Click on the Save button to save displayed values.
7 Click on the Dismiss button to exit the window. Values that were entered/changed after the Save
button was used will not be saved.
NOTE
If cable loss values exist for two different channels the LMF will interpolate for all other channels.
Entered values will be used by the LMF as soon as they are saved. You do not have to logout and
login.
Setting Coupler Loss Value
If an in-service coupler is installed the coupler loss (e.g., 30 dB) must be
manually entered so it will be included in the LMF TX calibration and
audit calculations and the RX FER test.

1 Click on the Util menu.
2 Select Edit >Coupler Loss>TX or RX. A data entry pop-up window will appear.
3 Click in the Loss (dBm) column for each carrier that has a coupler and enter the appropriate value.
4 To edit existing values click in the data box to be changed and change the value.
5 Click on the Save button to save displayed values.
6 Click on the Dismiss button to exit the window. Values that were entered/changed after the Save
button was used will not be saved.
NOTE
The In-Service Calibration check box in the Tools>Options>BTS Options tab must checked
before entered coupler loss values will be used by the TX calibration and audit functions or RX Fer
test.
