Handling Precautions • Keep your radio clean and exposure to water should be avoided to help ensure proper functionality and performance. • To clean the exterior surfaces of the radio, use a diluted solution of mild dishwashing detergent and fresh water (i.e. one teaspoon of detergent to one gallon of water). • These surfaces should be cleaned whenever a periodic visual inspection reveals the presence of smudges, grease, and/or grime.

Attaching the Antenna To remove the antenna, turn the antenna counterclockwise. If the antenna needs to be replaced, ensure that only antennas are used. Neglecting this will damage your radio. Align the grooves on the clip with those on the battery and press downwards until you hear a click. To remove the clip, press the belt clip tab away from the battery using a key. Then slide the clip upwards and away from the radio.

Audio Tones Indicator Tones Continuous Tone A monotone sound. Sounds continuously until termination. Periodic Tone Repetitive Tone Sounds periodically depending on the duration set by the radio. Tone starts, stops, and repeats itself. A single tone that repeats itself until it is terminated by the user. Momentary Tone Sounds only once for a short period of time defined by the radio.

Receiving and Responding to a Radio Call Receiving and Responding to a Group Call To receive a call from a group of users, your radio must be configured as part of that group. LED Indicator 1 The LED blinks green. Your radio unmutes and the incoming call sounds through the radio's speaker. 2 To respond, hold the radio vertically 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5.0 cm) from your mouth. 3 The LED lights up solid green while the radio is transmitting and blinks when the radio is receiving.

If the Channel Free Indication feature is enabled, you will hear a short alert tone the moment the transmitting radio releases the PTT button, indicating the channel is now available for use. You cannot respond to an All Call.
Making a Group Call To make a call to a group of users, your radio must be configured as part of that group. Procedure: 1 Select the channel with the active group alias or ID. Permanent Monitor Procedure: 1 Press the programmed Permanent Monitor button. 2 Radio sounds alert tone, and the LED lights up solid yellow. 3 Press the programmed Permanent Monitor button to remove the radio from permanent monitor mode. 4 Radio sounds an alert tone and the LED turns off. Receiving and Making Calls Use the Permanent Monitor feature to continuously monitor a selected channel for activity.

Scan During a dual mode scan, if you are on a digital channel, and your radio locks onto an analog channel, it automatically switches from digital mode to analog mode for the duration of the call. This is also true for the reverse. There are two types of scans: • Main Channel Scan (Manual): Your radio scans all the channels/groups in your scan list.
2 Press the PTT button during hang time. The LED lights up solid green. 3 Wait for the Talk Permit Tone to finish (if enabled) and speak clearly into the microphone. OR Wait for the PTT Sidetone to finish (if enabled) and speak clearly into the microphone. 4 Release the PTT button to listen. 5 If you do not respond within the hang time, the radio returns to scanning other channels/groups.
Vote Scan Your radio scans analog channels of multiple base stations and performs a voting process to select the strongest received signal. Once that is established, your radio unmutes to transmissions from that base station. The LED blinks yellow during the Vote Scan operation. To respond to a transmission during a Vote Scan, follow the same procedures as Responding to a Transmission During a Scan on page 21.
Making a Call Alert with the One Touch Access Button Procedure: 1 Press the programmed One Touch Access button to make a Call Alert to the predefined ID. Emergency Operation An Emergency Alarm is used to indicate a critical situation. You are able to initiate an Emergency at any time, in any state, even when there is activity on the current channel. Your radio supports three Emergency Alarms: 2 The LED lights up solid green when your radio is sending the Call Alert.
Sending an Emergency Alarm Procedure: This feature allows you to send an Emergency Alarm to a group of radios. Upon acknowledgement by a radio within the group, the group of radios can communicate over a programmed Emergency channel. 1 Press the programmed Emergency On button. Procedure: 2 The LED lights up solid green. 1 Press the programmed Emergency On button. 3 When an Emergency Alarm acknowledgment is received, 2 The LED lights up solid green. the Emergency tone sounds. The LED blinks green.
Sending an Emergency Alarm with Voice to Follow This feature allows you to send an Emergency Alarm to a group of radios. Your radio’s microphone is automatically activated, allowing you to communicate with the group of radios without pressing the PTT button. This activated microphone state is also known as “hot mic”. NOTE: Some accessories may not support “hot mic”. Check with your dealer or system administrator for more information.
Exiting an Emergency Mode NOTE: This feature is only applicable to the radio sending the Emergency Alarm. NOTE: This feature is only applicable to the radio sending the Emergency Alarm. There are two instances where this can happen: Your radio exits Emergency mode when one of the following occurs: • You change the channel while the radio is in Emergency mode. This exits the Emergency mode. If Emergency Alarm is enabled on this new channel, the radio reinitiates Emergency.
Text Messaging Features Sending a Quick Text Message You can send Quick Text messages, programmed by your dealer, via the programmable button. Procedure: 1 Press the programmed One Touch Access button to send a predefined Quick Text Message to a predefined ID. 2 The LED lights up solid green. Advanced Features 3 Two chirps indicate that the message is sent successfully. OR A low-pitch tone indicates that the message cannot be sent.
Analog Scrambling Your radio must have analog scrambling enabled on the channel to send and receive an analog scrambling-enabled transmission. While on an analog scrambling-enabled channel, the radio is NOT able to receive clear (unscrambled) transmissions. Your radio supports TWO analog scrambling codes that can be toggled via the programmable button. Procedure: Press the programmed Analog Scrambling button to enable or disable this function.
Password Lock Features Your radio supports a 4-digit password input. If enabled, this feature allows you to access your radio via password upon powering up. Use the Channel Selector Knob and the two Side Buttons to enter password (see Radio Controls on page 6): • Channel Selector Knob positions 1 to 9 represent numbers 1 to 9, and position 10 represents number 0. • Side Buttons 1 and 2 represent numbers 1 and 2. Accessing the Radio from Password Advanced Features Procedure: Power up the radio.
Unlocking the Radio from Locked State ARTS is an analog-only feature designed to inform you when your radio is out-of-range of other ARTS-equipped radios. 1 A tone sounds and the LED double blinks yellow. ARTS-equipped radios transmit or receive signals periodically to confirm that they are within range of each other. Your dealer can program your radio to transmit or receive the ARTS signal. 2 Wait for 15 minutes.
Utilities Setting the Squelch Level You can adjust your radio's squelch level to filter out unwanted calls with low signal strength or channels that have a higher than normal background noise. Settings: Normal is the default. Tight filters out (unwanted) calls and/or background noise. However, calls from remote locations may also be filtered out. Procedure: Advanced Features 1 Press the programmed Squelch button. 2 You hear a positive indicator tone, indicating the radio is operating in tight squelch.
Turning the Voice Operating Transmission (VOX) Feature On or Off To enable VOX, do one of the following: • Prior to powering up the radio, connect the VOX-capable accessory to the accessory connector, OR • Press the programmed VOX button and connect the VOX-capable accessory to the accessory connector. Pressing the PTT button during radio operation will disable VOX.
Turning Radio Tones/Alerts On or Off You can enable and disable all radio tones and alerts (except for the incoming Emergency alert tone) if needed. Procedure: 1 Press the programmed All Tones/Alerts button. 2 You hear a positive indicator tone, indicating all tones and alerts are on. OR You hear a negative indicator tone, indicating all tones and alerts are off. Advanced Features Checking the Battery Strength You can check how much battery power you have left.

Ihr Funkgerät unterstützt ZWEI analoge Verschlüsselungscodes, zwischen denen Sie über die programmierbare Taste wechseln können.
Passwortgeschützter Zugriff auf das Funkgerät Ihr Funkgerät unterstützt eine 4-stellige Kennworteingabe. Wenn dieses Merkmal aktiviert ist, erfolgt der Zugriff auf das Funkgerät nach dem Einschalten über ein Passwort. Ein- oder Ausschalten der VOX-Funktion (sprachgesteuerte Übertragung) Zur Aktivierung von VOX führen Sie einen der folgenden Schritte durch: • Vor dem Einschalten des Funkgeräts schließen Sie das VOX-fähige Zubehör an den Zubehöranschluss an, ODER • Drücken Sie die programmierte VOX Taste, und verbinden Sie das VOX-fähige Zubehör mit dem Zubehöranschluss. Installation de l’antenne Pour retirer l’antenne, tournez-la dans le sens antihoraire. Si l’antenne doit être remplacée, veillez à n’utiliser que des antennes MOTOTRBO. Tout autre type d’antenne endommagera votre radio. Alignez les rainures de la pince à celles de la batterie et appuyez vers le bas jusqu’à ce que vous entendiez un clic. Pour retirer le clip, écartez la languette de la pince de ceinture de la batterie à l’aide une clé. Faites glisser la pince vers le haut en l’écartant de la radio.

Balayage Pendant un balayage en mode double (analogique et numérique), si vous êtes en train de communiquer sur un canal numérique, et que votre radio détecte et s’arrête sur un canal analogique, elle passe automatiquement du mode numérique au mode analogique pendant la durée de l’appel. Dans le cas contraire, elle effectue cette opération en sens inverse. Il existe deux types de balayage : • Balayage du canal principal (Manuel) : votre radio balaie tous les canaux/groupes de la liste.
2 Appuyez sur le bouton PTT pendant le délai de maintien. La LED est vert fixe. 3 Attendez la tonalité Parler autorisé (si cette option est activée) et parlez distinctement dans le microphone. OU Attendez l’extinction de la tonalité locale PTT (si cette option est activée) et parlez distinctement dans le microphone. Sélection automatique de balayage La fonction Scan vote vous procure une couverture remarquablement étendue dans les zones où plusieurs stations de base émettent des informations identiques sur différents canaux analogiques. Votre radio balaie les canaux analogiques de ces stations de base et applique un processus de vote pour sélectionner le signal le plus puissant. Ensuite, votre radio ouvre le squelch pour recevoir les transmissions de cette station de base.
Réception et réponse à un avertissement d’appel Procédure à suivre : Lorsque vous recevez une notification d’avertissement d’appel : 1 Vous entendez une tonalité répétitive. REMARQUE : si la demande d’Alarme d’urgence échoue, la radio ne tente pas de renvoyer la demande, elle entre directement en mode de transmission Micro ouvert. Relance d’un mode Urgence REMARQUE : cette caractéristique est uniquement applicable à la radio qui envoie l’Alarme d’urgence. Cela peut arriver dans deux cas : • Vous changez le canal pendant que la radio est en mode Urgence. Cette action annule le mode Urgence.
Fonctions de message texte Envoi d’un message texte rapide Vous pouvez envoyer des messages texte, programmés par votre revendeur via le bouton programmable. Procédure à suivre : Fonctionnalités avancées 1 Appuyez sur le bouton préprogrammé Accès de numérotation rapide pour envoyer un message texte rapide à un ID prédéfini. 2 La LED est vert fixe. 3 Deux bips indiquent que le message a été envoyé avec succès. OU Une tonalité grave indique que le message ne peut pas être envoyé.
Brouillage analogique Travailleur isolé Cette fonction envoie une alarme d’urgence lorsque la radio reste inutilisée, par exemple si l’utilisateur n’appuie pas sur une touche ou ne tourne pas le sélecteur de canal avant expiration d’une durée prédéterminée. La fonction de brouillage analogique doit être activée sur le canal pour que votre radio puisse envoyer et recevoir une transmission compatible avec le brouillage analogique.
Fonctions de verrouillage avec mot de passe Votre radio prend en charge un mot de passe à 4 chiffres. Lorsqu’elle est activée, cette fonction vous permet d’accéder à votre radio en entrant un mot de passe pendant la mise sous tension.
Déverrouillage de la radio 1 Une tonalité retentit et la LED jaune clignote double. 2 Attendez 15 minutes. Répétez les étapes 1 à 4 de la section Accès à la radio avec mot de passe à la page 30. Lorsque vous allumez votre radio, elle relance le délai de 15 minutes d’attente avant de passer en mode verrouillé. Activation/désactivation de la fonction Émission activée par la voix (VOX) Pour rétablir la fonction VOX, choisissez l’une des méthodes suivantes : • Avant de mettre la radio sous tension, branchez l’accessoire VOX au connecteur d’accessoire, OU • Appuyez sur le bouton préprogrammé VOX et branchez l’accessoire VOX au connecteur d’accessoire. Une pression sur le bouton PTT, pendant que la radio émet, désactive la fonction VOX.
Activation/désactivation des tonalités/ avertissements Si nécessaire, vous pouvez activer/désactiver toutes les tonalités et tous les avertissements de votre radio (sauf l’avertissement d’urgence entrant). Procédure à suivre : 1 Appuyez sur le bouton préprogrammé Toutes tonalités/ avertissements. Scansione Se, durante la ricerca in doppia modalità, la radio è sintonizzata su un canale digitale e si sintonizza su un canale analogico, essa passa automaticamente dalla modalità digitale a quella analogica per la durata della chiamata. Lo stesso avviene nel caso opposto. Sono disponibili due tipi di scansioni: Procedura: Funzionalità avanzate Durante la scansione, la radio controlla sequenzialmente l'elenco di ricerca programmato per il canale corrente per rilevare la presenza di traffico voce.
2 Premere il pulsante PTT durante il tempo di permanenza. Il LED diventa verde fisso. 3 Attendere la cessazione del tono che indica il permesso di parlare (se abilitato), quindi parlare chiaramente nel microfono. OPPURE Attendere la cessazione del sidetone del PTT (se abilitato), quindi parlare chiaramente nel microfono. 4 Rilasciare il pulsante PTT per ascoltare. 5 Se non si risponde entro il tempo di permanenza, la radio Funzionalità avanzate riprende la scansione di altri canali o gruppi.
Scansione selettiva Impostazioni degli indicatori di chiamata È possibile attivare o disattivare le suonerie che segnalano la ricezione di una chiamata privata (vedere Accensione/ spegnimento dei toni/avvisi radio a pagina 34). La radio esegue la scansione dei canali analogici delle diverse stazioni base ed effettua un processo di selezione selettiva per selezionare il segnale più forte. Una volta rilevato il segnale, la radio viene abilitata alla ricezione trasmissioni da quella stazione base.
Invio di un avviso di chiamata con il pulsante di accesso rapido Procedura: 1 Premere il pulsante di accesso rapido programmato per inviare un avviso di chiamata all'ID predefinito. 2 Durante l'invio dell'avviso di chiamata da parte della radio, il Emergenza L'allarme di emergenza viene utilizzato per indicare una situazione critica. È possibile avviare un allarme di emergenza in qualsiasi momento e in qualunque stato, anche se è in corso un'attività sul canale corrente.
Invio di un allarme di emergenza Procedura: 1 Premere il pulsante Emerg. att. programmato. 2 Il LED diventa verde fisso. 3 Quando si riceve la conferma dell'allarme di emergenza, viene emesso il tono di emergenza. Il LED lampeggia in verde. OPPURE Se la radio non riceve alcuna conferma dell'allarme di emergenza e sono stati esauriti tutti i tentativi disponibili, viene emesso un tono basso. 4 La radio esce dalla modalità Allarme di emergenza.
Invio di un allarme di emergenza con successiva trasmissione voce Questa funzione consente di inviare un allarme di emergenza a un gruppo di radio. Il microfono della radio viene attivato automaticamente, consentendo di comunicare con il gruppo di radio senza premere il pulsante PTT. Questo stato di attivazione del microfono è noto anche come "microfono acceso". NOTA: Alcuni accessori potrebbero non supportare la funzione del microfono acceso.

È necessario riavviare la modalità di emergenza in due casi: La radio esce dalla modalità di emergenza quando si verifica uno dei seguenti eventi: • Se si cambia canale mentre la radio è in modalità di emergenza, si esce da questa modalità operativa.
Funzioni di messaggistica di testo Invio di un messaggio di testo predefinito È possibile inviare messaggi predefiniti, programmati dal rivenditore, tramite il tasto programmabile. Procedura: 1 Premere il pulsante di accesso rapido programmato per inviare un messaggio di testo predefinito a un ID predefinito. 2 Il LED diventa verde fisso. Funzionalità avanzate 3 L'emissione di due segnali indica che il messaggio è stato inviato correttamente.
Scrambling analogico Per inviare e ricevere una trasmissione abilitata per lo scrambling analogico, la radio deve disporre della funzione dello scrambling analogico attivata sul canale. Mentre è sintonizzata su un canale abilitato per lo scrambling analogico, la radio NON è in grado di ricevere trasmissioni chiare (decodificate). La radio supporta DUE codici dello scrambling analogico, che possono essere selezionati alternativamente tramite il tasto programmabile.
Funzioni blocco password La radio supporta l'immissione di una password a 4 cifre. Se attivata, questa funzione consente di accedere alla radio tramite la password al momento dell'accensione. Utilizzare il selettore di canale e i due pulsanti laterali per immettere la password (vedere Controlli della radio a pagina 6): • Le posizioni del selettore di canale da 1 a 9 corrispondono ai numeri da 1 a 9, mentre la posizione 10 corrisponde al numero 0. • I pulsanti laterali 1 e 2 corrispondono ai numeri 1 e 2.
Sblocco della radio 1 Viene emesso un tono e il LED lampeggia due volte in giallo. 2 Aspettare 15 minuti. Ripetere i passaggi da 1 a 4 in Accesso alla radio mediante password a pagina 30. All'accensione, la radio riavvia il timer di 15 minuti per lo stato di blocco. Funzionalità avanzate Procedura: Aspettare 15 minuti. Utility Impostazione del livello di squelch È possibile regolare il livello di squelch della radio per eliminare la ricezione di chiamate non gradite, la cui forza di segnale è bassa, oppure i canali che presentano un rumore di fondo più elevato del normale. Funzionalità avanzate Impostazioni: Normale corrisponde all'impostazione predefinita. L'opzione Stretto consente di eliminare la ricezione di chiamate (non gradite) e/o i rumori di fondo.
Attivazione e disattivazione della funzione VOX (trasmissione attivata dalla voce) Per attivare la funzione VOX, eseguire una delle seguenti operazioni: • Prima di accendere la radio, collegare l'accessorio VOX al connettore accessori OPPURE • Premere il pulsante VOX programmato e collegare l'accessorio VOX al connettore accessori. Premendo il pulsante PTT durante il funzionamento della radio, la funzione VOX viene disattivata.
Accensione/spegnimento dei toni/avvisi radio Se necessario, è possibile abilitare e disabilitare tutti i toni e gli avvisi della radio, ad eccezione del tono di avviso relativo all'arrivo di una chiamata di emergenza. Procedura: 1 Premere il pulsante Tutti i toni/avvisi programmato. 2 Si sente un tono dell'indicatore positivo, indicante che tutti i Funzionalità avanzate toni e gli avvisi sono attivati.
