CUSTOMER HANDBOOK Customer Service & Support Equipment Communications, Bills and Refunds Camellia Communications will repair and/or replace the equipment we use to provide your CTV service at no charge provided the equipment is not abused and operated under normal conditions. If you are experiencing problems, contact Customer Service to schedule a service call.
3 Parental Controls CUSTOMER HANDBOOK Parental Controls CTV parental controls include V-Chip support, blocking of unrated programming, channel-by-channel blocking, and blocking by content rating levels. You have control over what information gets displayed on the Electronic Program Guide and can unlock controls for a particular time frame. Initially your service uses default settings which allow access to all programs. Ratings are set from the Main Account.

TVY7 Directed to Older Children — Not intended for children under 7. TVY7FV Directed to Older Children Fantasy Violence — Fantasy violence may be more intense or more combative. TVG General Audience — Little or no violence, no strong language and little or no sexual dialogue or situations.
5 CUSTOMER HANDBOOK HDTV HDTV HDTV is the ultimate home viewing experience! If your TV set is HDTV ready and you are a CTV subscriber, there’s no additional monthly charge for HDTV. Plus, there’s no other equipment to buy to receive the amazingly clear and crisp images. With HDTV you can enjoy your favorite TV shows, movies, sports and events as if you were watching them in a theater. See more of the TV picture with a wider viewing area and feel the depth of surround sound technology.
CUSTOMER HANDBOOK Set-Top-Box (STB) Set Up Set-Top-Box (STB) Set Up The following pages describe the functions of the Set-Top-Boxes and remote controls used for your new CTV service. You may either have the AmiNet125 or AmiNet530 unit. Connecting RF (VCR) AmiNet125 and AmiNet530 Set-Top-Box (STB) • Connect the RF antenna OUT connector on the back of the Set-TopBox to the RF IN connector on the VCR or on the TV if you do not have a VCR, using a standard RF cable available from retail outlets.
7 Set-Top-Box (STB) Set Up If you are using the Component Video, S-Video, or Composite Video outputs you should connect the audio left and right connectors included in the lead to the TV or AV amplifier to provide sound. If you have a separate AV surround sound amplifier with electrical S/P DIF input: • Connect the digital audio output from the Set-Top-Box to a suitable digital audio input on the AV amplifier using a standard S/P DIF lead (not supplied) to allow you to listen to Dolby 5.
CUSTOMER HANDBOOK Remote Control Set Up Remote Control Set Up While your remote control is pre-programmed to operate your CTV equipment, you must also set up your remote to work with your particular TV. Please refer to TV Brand Codes table for a list of TV Brand Codes and instructions on how to set up your remote control to work with your particular TV set. mode has been set. CUSTOMER HANDBOOK Configuring the Remote Control for your TV In order for the remote to transmit the correct signals to control the TV, the remote must first be programmed with the 3-digit code corresponding to the make and model of TV in use. This is done in the following way: • Identify the make of the TV that is to be controlled. For example, Sony, Magnavox, Philips, etc. and find it in the Table of TV Brand Codes below.
11 Remote Control Set Up AmiNet 530 Remote Control Inserting batteries The remote control requires two batteries type AAA, MN2400, UM-4, or LR03. For best performance we recommend using Alkaline batteries. • Open the battery cover by pushing lightly on the tab and lifting up the cover: • Insert the batteries, taking care to observe the correct polarity: • Replace the battery cover by engaging the two tabs in the top of the case and then closing it until it clicks into place.

If it is not available in your remote then after entering it the TV button will flash rapidly for a second and remain illuminated. CUSTOMER HANDBOOK STB Compatibility STB Compatibility At short range all the Amino remote controls will work with all Amino Set-Top-Boxes. At longer range it may be necessary to ensure the correct STB brand code has been selected. This only applies to remote part numbers beginning with 510. Remote part numbers beginning 002 or 502 will only work with A103/A110(H)/A120/A124/A500 boxes at longer distances. If you have been given an incompatible remote control please consult your service provider.
