Cleaning and care

Appliance front
The appliance front has a special high-
quality finish (Clean Touch Steel). This is
resistant to soiling and is very easy to
clean.
Do not use stainless steel
cleaning agent on these surfaces,
as it will damage the finish.
Do not use Miele stainless steel
conditioning agent on these sur-
faces, as it will cause noticeable
smearing.
If soiling is allowed to sit for any
length of time, it may become im-
possible to remove.
Surfaces may be discolored or al-
tered.
It is therefore best to remove soiling
from the appliance front immediately.
All surfaces are easily scratched.
Contact with unsuitable cleaning
agents can alter or discolor the sur-
faces.
See the information on “Cleaning
agents” at the beginning of this sec-
tion.
Clean the surfaces with a clean
sponge and a solution of warm water
and liquid dish soap. A clean, damp
microfiber cloth without cleaning
agent can also be used for cleaning.
After cleaning, wipe with clean water
and dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the door seal
Do not use any grease or oil on the
door seal as these will cause the seal
to deteriorate and become porous
over time.
The door seal should be cleaned reg-
ularly with clean water and then
wiped thoroughly dry with a soft
cloth.
Cleaning the ventilation grilles
A build-up of dust will increase the en-
ergy consumption of the appliance.
The air vents should be cleaned on a
regular basis with a brush or vacuum
cleaner (you could use a Miele vac-
uum cleaner dusting brush, for exam-
ple).
After cleaning
Replace all shelves and accessories
in the appliance.
Reconnect to the power supply and
switch the appliance back on.
Switch on the SuperCool function for
a while so that the refrigerator section
can cool down quickly.
Switch off the SuperFrost function as
soon as the temperature in the freezer
is a constant 0°F (-18°C) or colder.
Place food back in the appliance and
close the door.
