Problem Possible cause and solution

play of one or more
burners.
The burner control knob has been turned clockwise
or counterclockwise for more than 30seconds.
Turn the burner control knob to 0. If the fault
message does not go out, there is a technical
fault. Contact Miele Customer Service.
The burner control knob
is not at 0; a power level
is set for the burner.
The burner is not heat-
ing up.
lights up or flashes al-
ternately with in the
display.
There was a power failure during operation.
The burner has been turned on for more than
3minutes without suitable cookware on it.
The maximum operating time for the burner has been
exceeded.
Turn the burner control knob to 0.
The burner can be started up again.

There is an electronic fault.
Disconnect the power supply to the cooktop for
approx. 1minute. If the problem persists after
reconnecting the power supply, contact Miele
Customer Service.
The display is dark. You have selected the Time| Display| Offsetting.
When the appliance is turned off, the time-of-day
display is turned off.
As soon as the oven is turned on, the main menu
will appear. If you want the time of day to be
displayed constantly, select theTime| Display|
Onsetting.
There is no power to the appliance.
Check if the breaker has tripped. If it has, contact
a qualified electrician or Miele Customer Service.
The audible signal does
not sound.
The audible signals are deactivated or set at too low
a volume.
Turn on the audible signals or increase the volume
with Settings| Volume| Buzzer Tones.
The oven does not heat
up.
Demo mode is activated.
You can select menu options on the display and
sensor buttons, but the oven heating does not work.
Deactivate Demo mode by selecting Settings|
Showroom Program| Demo Mode| Off.
