ASSEMBLY TO ATTACH BATTERY PACK (FIG. 1) 1. 2. Lock the variable-speed trigger switch on the drill/driver by placing the direction-of-rotation selector in the center position. Align the ribs on the battery pack with the grooves of the drill/driver, and then attach the battery pack to the drill/ driver. OPERATION Running at low speed under constant use may cause the drill to become overheated. If this occurs, cool the drill by running it without a load at high speed. NOTICE: Do not change gears when the tool is running. Always allow the drill to come to a complete stop before changing gears. If you have trouble changing gears, make sure that the gear switch is engaged in one of the speed settings. Secure the material to be drilled in a vise or with clamps to keep it from turning as the drill bit rotates. Hold the drill firmly and place the bit at the point to be drilled. Depress the variable-speed trigger switch to start the drill. Move the drill bit into the workpiece, applying only enough pressure to keep the bit cutting.
